Job Description

Key Accountabilities :

  • Responsible for mentoring and providing training to Junior Business Intelligence Developers
  • Responsible for design and development of business intelligence tools based on specifications
  • Responsible for enhancing and improving implementation of business intelligence tools / applications
  • Responsible for application stability and maintenance processes
  • Responsible for building reporting solutions according to user requirements
  • Responsible for coordinating unit test and user acceptance tests
  • Responsible for training and knowledge transfer to end users and support staffs on the dashboards including the underlying architecture
  • Responsible for specialty programming and scripting associated with QlikView or any other similar tool
  • Some administration of business intelligence tool
  • Undertake projects and ad-hoc requests as required
  • Help build center of excellence for QlikView dashboard implementations
  • Other software projects, as required
  • Other duties and tasks as assigned by Operations Management
  • Minimum Skills Requirement to Hire :

    The candidate :

  • Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, programming background preferred (.NET, Java, QlikView scripting, ETL, Datawarehousing)
  • Atleast 4 years of experience with Qlikivew or any similar tool
  • Project management experience preferred
  • Must not have any attendance issues and have not received any disciplinary action
  • Technical Skills :

  • Knowledge of structured analysis and design techniques preferred.
  • Understanding of design and development tools, SDLC methodologies and techniques, preferred
  • Acute numerical and analytical skills. Intermediate mathematical skills
  • Strong development and data visualization skills
  • Soft skills :

  • Ability to allocate time efficiently, handle multiple demands and competing priorities.
  • Planning and organization skills, including the ability to prepare schedules and communicate status of overall development effort.
  • Excellent English written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and act professionally at all times.
  • Minimum Skills Requirements to Go-live :

    Product Specific Knowledge

  • Demonstrate advanced knowledge of a QlikView data model in QlikView
  • Ability to layout and design QlikView applications
  • Understanding the basic use of QlikView sheet objects
  • Ability to identify which chart will provide the best visual representation of data to the viewer
  • Ability to resolve data structure issues
  • Knowledge of the Debugger
  • Ability to use dynamic images, scripting text and graphics
  • Able to define the basic and advanced uses of the script editor, including calendar and date manipulations
  • Able to use transformative functions in the script
  • Able to understand the PDF report writer
  • Advanced knowledge and understanding of Set Analysis and other advanced level features as required
  • Ability to connect QlikView to different data sources.
