Job Description : 1) Supports Financial Lines Underwriters globally by performing risk analysis to understand the probability that AIG will incur loss should it extend / renew insurance to the client : -
Reads and understands the client’s latest filings such as annual reports / financial statements, interim financial statements, earnings call, proxy statements, press releases -
Research about macroeconomic factors about the industry the company is in and understands published equity analyst and credit rating reports to determine how the market views the client -
Understands the client’s operations particularly its strategy and how it fares in the current regulatory environment - Performs analysis of the company’s financial performance and how it has performed compared from the last applicable accounting period -
Analyzes the client’s financial performance and condition by making a strong write-up discussing profitability, asset quality, liquidity, leverage, solvency and cash flow among others.
Also provides discussions about the history of the client’s mergers and acquisitions history, public and private debt / equity offerings, ownership structure, and corporate governance -
Condenses all the information derived in the body of the workup to a brief and concise underwriting summary and lists out pros and cons to help the underwriters with their decisions regarding the client’s application for D&O insurance 2) Primarily completes workups for companies in the retail, restaurant, manufacturing industries 3) Able to handle underwriter email or phone queries / requests 4) May be asked to attend account reviews with underwriters from time-
to-time 5) Any other related tasks that may be assigned by the supervisor from time to time. General Qualifications : - College graduate with a Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Finance, Economics, Business Management, or any related course -
Good accounting and financial statement analysis skills required - Has a keen attention to detail - Highly inquisitive and analytical -
