Responsibilities

Work with Engineering and Operations teams to ensure both requested environment, and proposed solution align

Work with developers on software and system optimizations, helping to identify and remove potential performance bottlenecks

Establish continuous integration (CI) pipeline to fully automate the deployment of critical platform components on microservices architecture

Create scripts and templates to build cloud-based development systems for our software engineers

Build tools for deployment, monitoring, and operations. Troubleshoot and resolve issues in our development, test, and production environments

Iterate on best practices to increase the quality and velocity of deployments

Implement automation, effective monitoring, and infrastructure-as-code

Required Technical Skills

Experience managing solutions within the AWS ecosystem

Knowledge of containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes

Familiarity with Atlassian toolset (Bitbucket, Jira, Confluence)

Understanding of system administration in Linux environments

Working experience with continuous integration tools such as GitLab, Bamboo, Bitbucket Pipelines, or Jenkins

Proficiency in scripting languages including Bash, Python, and JavaScript

Experience working in an Agile Scrum environment

Ability to work both independently and in a team

Experience creating prototype implementations and demonstrating them to help validate new ideas

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Excellent judgment, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills

Proficient learner, able to pick up new technologies and skills when a project requires it

Desired Technical Skills

Experience with delivering SaaS products

Strong understanding of micro-services and related architectures

Familiarity with Helm or Terraform
