Job Description :
The General Ledger and Fixed Asset Accounting Analyst will be responsible for providing general accounting and fixed asset accounting services to 3M subsidiaries.
Currently, 3M is deploying ERP (SAP) to the subsidiaries and you would be requested to work in both SAP countries and Legacy system countries the during transition period.
This position will work as a liaison with countries and be the primary contact from our internal client. You will report to Accounting operation supervisor, and will be liaising with relevant parties in GSC and other country finance team.
General Ledger and Fixed Asset Accounting Analyst responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following :
Provide general accounting and fixed accounting services to 3M subsidiaries. The position will mainly support legacy system countries (Asia Pacific Countries), and expected to be a primary contact from the local finance team.
Responsible for leading closing operation, posting journals, updating allocation basis, running system operation, etc, and ensure financial data submission with timeliness, accuracy and completeness.
Responsible for updating fixed asset ledgers and close the asset ledger
Ensure compliance to 3M Financial Standard, SOX and other regulations
Analyze the financial data and prepare a journal entry if necessary
Responsible for timely balance sheet account reconciliation and issue follow up
Lead Inter / Intra Company support service transactions for 3M subsidiaries
Enhance KPIs to improve productivity and service quality
Engage in ad-hoc activities such as internal / external audit, tax audit, etc
Participate in the project, e.g. accounting centralization activities from the region, etc
Basic Qualifications :
Accounting degree and minimum 3 years of working experience in Finance and Accounting area. Solid financial accounting and internal control knowledge are required.
CPA or equivalent qualification is preferred
Experience in Shared Service Center in multi-national corporation minimum 3 years
Fluent in English
Ability to learn legacy system quickly (AS 400, PeopleSoft)
Working knowledge of SAP is highly appreciated
