Reporting to the Country Manager and is a member of the Country Management Team, Sealand Maersk Philippines is looking for a highly motivated individual with a can do’ attitude to take up a new position as Trade and Marketing Manager.

In addition, you will further enhance your understanding of the Intra-Asia market and develop in-depth knowledge of the competitor and industry trends.

Key responsibilitiesTranslates strategy into country short- and long-term business plansDelivers and optimizes the yield and volume for each string calling the country to achieve the overall country performanceBe actively involved in the setting of the future strategy of exports from the PhilippinesInfluences trade strategies through Sealand Asia Head Office Trade Managers or Heads of TradesDrive direction setting for the significant trade operated by Sealand Maersk in the PhilippinesProvides guidance to local capacity managementBuilds and communicates local market, trade and customer intelligence to drive country objectives and sales actionsEnsures development of relevant, timely, high impact campaigns and sales materials to generate yield and volumeAssist Country Manager in driving the team to deliver target volume and yield / margin levels for the countryAnalyze existing cargo base and provide cargo selection direction to sales and customer service team to ensure maximum yield generated from available resources of space and equipmentPropose budget volumes, rates and service deployment as per discussion with the Country Manager and Sales managerWork out surcharge review and implementation with sales and bench marking with market and Maersk Line to achieve top line improvementInitiate product development, includes coordinating with Sales for market studies on potential corridors and come up with concrete proposal to Sealand Asia

  • Provide information and recommendation to improve product portfolio to / from all ports within scope
  • Gather market information (market size, market development, competitors) available and share with HQ, Sales and other stakeholdersManage Customer Communication & Campaign activities including general customer communication (advisories, etc.
  • E-commence, campaign management and coordination of customer functions & tradeshows.Together with Sales Manager, manage Salesforce.

    set.Previous experience within a Trade and Marketing function would be an advantage but not a pre-requisite.You are able to spot opportunities where not apparent and to critically and objectively evaluate the attractiveness of a particular business.

    You must be persuasive, strong in analytical skills, and a good communicator who is able to engage and lead others to get results through direct and indirect influence.

    The incumbent must have integrity, be resilient, have a strong sense of ownership and be able to thrive in a fluid and high-pressure working environment.
