As a Technical Writer for the eLearning team, you will design and write training content on all aspects of Five9’s Cloud Contact Center solution.

In this role you will be a key contributor in writing eLearning content and other training materials for Five9 customers, partners, and employees.

You will work closely with subject matter experts to understand the application and features and design effective training.

Duties and Responsibilities :

  • Write scripts and storyboards for development of eLearning courses (with and without voiceover)
  • Work with internal teams to obtain an in-depth understanding of the software to be covered in the training
  • Apply instructional design methods to design training content from scratch
  • Analyze and convert existing content into effective online training
  • Write easy to understand end-user learning materials such as reference guides and knowledge check quizzes
  • Contribute to the team in other areas such as LMS administration
  • Requirements

  • Excellent writing skills in English
  • At least 3 years working experience in a technical capacity
  • At least 2 years experience as a technical writer for software documentation or training
  • Bachelor's / College Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Telecommunications or equivalent
  • Ability to deliver high quality writing, with high attention to detail
  • Ability to quickly grasp complex technical concepts and make them easily understandable in voiceover scripts and other materials
  • Ability to write succinctly and convey technical concepts clearly
  • Work effectively in a fast-paced environment and ability to meet deadlines
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Availability to work a night shift (roughly Pacific Time business hours)
  • Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Contact Center software at the Administrator level
  • Contact center industry experience highly desired
  • Software development experience or an understanding of webservices and APIs
  • Familiarity with an authoring tool such as Captivate or Storyline
