Sr. Database Administrator
Primary Purpose :
The Sr. Database Administrator will ensure SQL Server database performance and availability in a 24x7 environment.
As Sr. Database Administrator, A Typical Might Include :
Install, configure, upgrade, monitor, maintain and manage multiple SQL Server and Oracle databases.
Establish and maintain sound backup and recovery policies and procedures.
Implement and maintain database security.
Perform database and application tuning.
Create, maintain and monitor SQL Server replication
Provide 24x7 support in an on call rotation with other DBAs.
Setup and maintain documentation and standards.
Create, review and approve database logical and physical designs.
Evaluate new technologies for incorporation into inContact systems
Integrate third party software and databases with corporate databases.
Perform code review and provide consultation to development teams.
Train other staff as necessary.
Attend meetings and training as required.
Follow the company Code of Ethics and inContact policies and procedures at all times.
Communicate in an effective and professional way with customers in and outside of inContact.
Will be able to meet late or early to accommodate meetings with the team in Salt Lake City.

To Land This Gig, You’ll Need :
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent work experience required.
7+ years maintaining SQL server and / or Oracle mission critical databases
7+ years TSQL / PLSQL programming
2+ years implementing and maintaining database replication
Ability to work with technical and non-technical people
Problem solving skills are a must
Ability to meet deadlines
Experience Preferred :
HP Blade and EVA SAN optimization
Veritas Net Backup
MCSE / MCDBA / OCP
C# / Python
AWS knowledge in RDS, DynamoDB, AuoraDB, S3, and Kinesis streams - preference to a candidate with AWS certification
Source control both TFS and GIT. Managing database objects in repositories for SQL server and other database systems such as MySQL
