Current Need :
Sr. Financial Specialist, FP&A will analyze income statements, prepare reports, and recommendations to executives, business leaders, and general support of all FP&A planning and forecasting activities.
Generate forecasts and analyze trends in sales, finance, and other areas of business. Research economic progressions to assist the organization's financial planning.
Create business cases and financial models of "what if" scenarios for future business planning decisions in areas such as new product development, new marketing strategies, etc.
Key Responsibilities :
To provide timely, relevant, and accurate analysis of the results of the business unit’s performance against historical, budgeted, forecasted and strategic planning results to facilitate decision-making toward the achievement of the budget and strategic plan.
Analyze and benchmark the results of key revenue channels to support decision making.
Suggest & drive process improvement initiatives related to any planning, reporting, or analytic process.
Planning & Forecasting
Support the financial planning activities of the business unit in a manner that yields challenging, but achievable, strategic plans, budgets and forecasts and provides clear understanding of results with senior management and corporate expectations.
Review and advise leadership on plan and forecast results based on a thorough knowledge of the targets, history, market conditions, product lifecycle, metrics, resources, initiatives and investments at the division and business unit levels.
Utilize financial systems (SAP, BPC,) to consolidate and report on plans and forecasts.
Properly sequence and integrate with corporate and segment planning activities.
Maintain and develop various financial models used during the planning processes and to support decision making by executive leadership, ensuring quality, accuracy and focused analytic review including :
Impact of shifts in product channels
Margin drivers and opportunities for expansion
Possess the skills and initiative to carry out special financial planning and / or analysis of projects of varying nature and complexity with limited supervision by clarifying objectives and assumptions or making appropriate judgments where necessary.
This may include analysis of competition, financial metrics, process improvement initiatives, investments, six-sigma, etc.
