JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS :
The Pennsylvania State University is seeking a Human Research Technologist toorganize lab materials, conductdata collection,interact with study participants,monitor incoming data for accuracy, ensure labcompliance andsafety,and maintain study information / databases.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the following :
Recruit and schedule subjects / participants for lab visits
Collect and record data in accordance with research objectives
Maintain subject / participant database
Organize lab materials, conduct data collection, monitor incoming data for accuracy
Troubleshoot for technical problems and maintain the integrity of the project protocol
Monitor the safety and confidentiality of the project and its subjects / participants
Assist the Principal Investigator with Institutional Review Board amendments, continuations, and renewals
Ensure all lab personnel have appropriate training for work with human subjects
Code and score observational data
Ensure data is scored and entered correctly and reconciled per guidelines from the Principal Investigator
The successful candidate must have an understanding of the collection of kinematic data and must be competent in administering a neuropsychological battery of tests and motor function tests.
Typically requires anAssociate’sdegree or higher (Bachelor'sdegree preferred) plus 1 years related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience .
This is a fixed-term appointment funded for one year from date of hire.

Pursuant to the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act and the Pennsylvania Act of 1988, Penn State publishes a combined Annual Security and Annual Fire Safety Report (ASR).
The ASR includes crime statistics and institutional policies concerning campus security, such as those concerning alcohol and drug use, crime prevention, the reporting of crimes, sexual assault, and other matters.
