  • Create and configure system settings, users and groups and global permissions on Jira and Confluence.
  • Create and configure projects, project permissions and roles on Jira and Confluence and share project configurations.
  • Create and maintain a service desk project, incident and request types, queues and SLA metrics
  • Create, issue types and edit fields and screens to improve processes.
  • Integrate Jira service desk project with a Confluence knowledge base.
  • Create custom workflows and / or update workflow templates to align with existing processes or respond to evolving business requirements.
  • Effectively extract business requirements from stakeholders and map these requirements into Jira configurations.
  • Configure permissions for managing Jira sprints and administering boards.
  • Create a set of standard schemes and schemes to use for new and existing Jira projects.
  • Establish Jira administration best practices.
  • Job Requirements

  • Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's / College Degree
  • Computer Science / Information Technology, Engineering (Computer / Telecommunication) or equivalent.

  • At least 5 years of systems administration experience with Jira software (Jira Software, Jira Service Desk, Confluence and Jira Core)
  • IT operations experience with system administrator responsibilities in UNIX, Linux or Windows
  • Extensive experience using Jira Query Language (JQL) for creating complex workflows, reports and dashboards.
  • Strong understanding of Jira database architecture
  • Extensive understanding of projects, issues, issue types and workflows in Jira applications.
  • Extensive experience supporting on-premise and cloud implementations of Jira and Confluence.
  • Excellent communication skills
