Bring your career aspirations to life with AIA!Lead the development of Data and Analytics capability in Risk and Compliance.

The jobholder will be responsible for defining data requirements, developing analytical capability to identify emerging risks, identify risks associated with use of digital tools and help embed controls in technology used for business processes and client interface.

  • Develop and execute a plan for data warehouse by : i) working with data origination units on data conventions and definitions;
  • 2) working with IT on warehouse download requirements; 3) working with R&C team members for information requirements, relevant metrics, regular reporting and analytics requirements.

    Develop and implement a reporting protocol for risk monitoring for both internal and external requirements with appropriate governance.

    Understand business drivers and challenges in order to support information requirements and generate business insights from data.

    Develop and execute a technology innovation plan to support risk monitoring and process controls in core processes. Solutions should deliver ease of business and improve control effectiveness.

    Understand business technology platforms and its ecosystem and assess relevant risks. Provide Risk and Compliance with insights on developments in technology, digital business applications and analytics tools and how these may be leveraged.

    Monitor internal and external events, regulatory requirements impacting technology and data security. Keep the different business lines’ leadership informed of potential threats to the business and core processes so they may take early mitigating actions.

    Implement risk review and challenger / scenario based strategies based on data analysis. Work in coordination with the SO-TDA community across the organization to harmonize the build for Risk and Compliance.

    Provide subject matter expertise building controls that are embedded in workflow tools to achieve better transaction efficiency, accuracy and reliability.

    Provide subject matter expertise in developing technology solutions for Risk and Compliance monitoring eg suspicious transactions for money-laundering and financial crimes identification, data privacy controls, sales quality monitoring, etc.

    MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information System, Mathematics, Statistics, with over 7 years of solid work experience in the financial industry handling technology related implementation, data management analytics.

    Knowledge of data and analytics tools eg. SQL, SAS, Phyton. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and self-motivated.

  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills in English and local language. Independent and be able to work under pressure Organize, analytical with good level of strategic and tactical knowledge Possess strong leadership, coaching and influencing skills;
  • business acumen; problem solving skills Good understanding of process management, internal controls and risk management.
