Majorresponsibility of Buyer is the daily management of activities related toprocuring material to meet plant requirements at an optimal cost, administerbusiness transactions with suppliers as contracted, Invoice Reconciliations,Support Inventory Management and MRP Maintenance activities.
He / she is alsotasked to support Business Unit initiatives related to cost reduction / savingsto achieve business goals.
Procures materials to meet customer requirements at an optimal cost while andschedules supplier deliveries based on requirements.
Maintains lot sizes,period of supply, planning bill demand, lead time and minimum order quantitieswith suppliers.
Supports the phase-out / in of products to avoid obsoleteinventory
Obtains supplier quotations as required, notifies suppliers ofengineering changes to drawings / specifications and provides suppliers withforecast and open order information.
Ensures that all released PurchaseOrders are sent to suppliers and are confirmed following the required turn-aroundtime.
Resolves invoice issues, coordinates with ProcurementManager / Counterparts on the reasons of the discrepancy, adjusts systeminformation when necessary.
Monitors supplier performance related to on-timedelivery (OTD) and quality.
Maintains reports and trend analysis schedulesas required to track major objectives in Purchasing.
Reviews Open PurchaseOrders on a regular basis to execute expediting and schedule push-outs asrequired to avoid shortages and ensures correct / accurate data are maintained inERP system.
Bachelors’ Degree in Engineering / Finance / Management-related discipline
At least 1 year of relevant experience in Manufacturingor Supply Chain; Purchasing experience is plus
Basic MS Excel knowledge
Basic MS PowerPoint knowledge
Basic MS Accessknowledge
Basic understanding of the Supply Chain processes
ERP / MRPBackground; SAP user is a plus
Ateam player with a positive attitude
Good written and communication skills
With good analytical skills
Able to multi-task
Ability to participate in a team environment
Ability to maintain a positiveworking relationship
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnishedin written or oral form
