The Enterprise Business Technology (EBT) Platform Management team is responsible for providing technology solutions for the Enterprise Information Technology (EIT) organization.
This includes providing Application Availability, Platform Engineering, and IT Service Management services for a diverse portfolio of 750+ applications.
About the Role
Provides technical support and maintenance for computer applications and programs
Under general direction, uses diagnostic tools and / or vendor specifications to troubleshoot moderately complex computer application problems to maintain or restore service or data to programs, resolves moderately complex issues or escalates as needed to meet established service level agreements
Completes required logs and reports
Assists in preparing programming specifications and completes programming tasks to maintain or modify current programs or to develop less complex computer programs
With guidance, tests and debugs applications and programs
Writes queries or code to extract data and / or validate data loads
Updates related documentation and procedures
Understands BCP, quality, security and compliance requirements for supported areas and assists in testing the business continuation plan
Market Skills and Certifications
Overall 2-3 years of experience in Production / Application support teams
Solid experience in Microsoft Windows Administration
Basic understanding of Networking concepts
Familiarity with Remedy Workflow Tools (PAC2000) from end-user perspective
3+ years of Web Application Installations, Upgrades, Troubleshooting and Deployments in a Windows Environment.
3+ years of experience of Windows 2003 and Windows 2008 operating systems, IIS & .Net
Flexibility to work on off hours when required on rotational basis to support the production / non production environments.
Prior 24x7 support experience
Expert knowledge of the following product support practices and concepts : infrastructure design, wide range of technologies within specialty, full project delivery life cycle, IT service level agreements, performance monitoring, tuning, and debugging
Basic SQL Server Administration
PAC2000 / Remedy Administration / Application Support
