About the opportunity

The Technical Manager - Airside will be assigned to the Airside Package of work and will be the technical resource manager for the Airside Sr.

Project Manager. His duties and responsibilities include :

Responsibilities

Overseeing the technical resources assigned to the projects within the Package and will coordinate resource requirements with the Airside Sr. Project Manager.

Support the design review process.

Monitor design interfaces within the Package and projects.

Possess extensive knowledge of airfield design

Manage, review, and / or write technical reports

Monitor the engineering services during the construction and commissioning phases.

Scope of Airside work will include the planning and design of airfield infrastructure including runways, taxiways, aprons, service roads, security fencing, utilities, and aircraft parking positions, likewise Power, AGL - Airfield Ground Lighting and ALCMS- Airfield Lighting Control and Monitoring System.

About you

  • The ideal candidate will have experience in general civil engineering as well as airport design, and program / construction management;
  • including project involvement in a variety of airside projects, construction of runways, taxiways, taxilanes, aprons, airfield lighting and power.

    The selected candidate will be a team player, self-motivated with good communication skills and will supervise design teams, less experienced engineers, and / or sub consultants.

    Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering.

    Minimum of 4 years of engineering resource management experience for a private design firm, private contractor, or government agency.

    Exposure to multiple engineering disciplines is required

    Excellent written and oral communication skills

    Prior aviation and general civil construction experience

    Prior experience with ICAO and FAA’s Advisory Circular design requirements
