You will plan and implement proactive technical promotional activities for the assigned target audience (consultants, design institutes, engineering / architect offices, authorities, owners, end users etc.

in order to gather market intelligence, and to identify key projects for the purpose of building a targeted quality project pipeline.

To influence the key upstream stakeholders on ABB unique selling points via specifications to create the market demand and need for the features / products

Reporting to Technical & Design Promotion Manager and building long term customer relationships and identify and develop sales opportunities by introducing, presenting and educating the target audience about ABB products and tools.

Provide guidance to internal ABB stakeholders on best strategy approach to win and maintaining continuous follow through until the project is awarded at Paranaque City, Philippines location.

Your responsibilities

  • Implementing proactive technical promotional activities to Electrical Consultants, Owners, End Users, and Contractors.
  • Building project pipeline with target group. Presents and explains the advantages and benefits of ABB solutions / products / tools for the purpose of specifying ABB into the project tenders, following through till order conversion

  • Establishing and maintaining effective long-term relationships with target group customers to understand their current and future project pipelines and technical needs and to ensure the customer has a good understanding of the full ABB product / systems / services offering, features and benefits and ensuring a positive experience for the customer target group throughout the promotion activities
  • Establishing the overall promotional activity implementation plan for the target group customers and performs regular status reviews, including the analysis and output of the target audience visits, actively support Sales and Marketing engagements regarding the target group.
  • Supporting business development by identifying and creating new business opportunities. Work closely with other ABB units in order to provide a complete and competitive solution, able to identify additional opportunities for business growth

  • Ensuring efficient marketing activities and strong value proposition to customers by using effective promotional techniques, communicating details in accordance with ABB offering and strategy
  • Managing and driving education of the target audience by conducting and organizing appropriate training seminars and regularly reporting and updates training information
  • Creating a vision of a loyal, committed, and long-term customer relationship and implements the necessary action plan and steps to reach the vision, proactively planning for regular customer engagements to strengthen effective working relationships
  • Ensuring cross-collaboration and continuously develops own and team members’ technical, commercial, design, and behavioral competences and know-how
  • Providing a regular report of promotional activities (number of visits, schedules, next steps, number of projects, volume of projects, project specific info) and opportunities and gives / receives information from the sales organization for the purpose of sharing market intelligence.
  • Your background

  • Preferred to have at least 8 years of experience in Technical role or similar fields
  • Knowledge in power products, e.g. Power Systems experience in Medium and Low voltage switchgear, low voltage components, lighting control systems, emergency lighting, UPS systems, voltage conditioners, and lightning protection will be highly appreciated
  • Existing customer relationships with Electrical Consultants, Owners and End Users will be highly advantageous
  • Hands-on experience in project management and site service will be beneficial
  • Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
  • Ability to work in a multinational environment and in a matrix organization
  • Flexibility in travelling within the specified area / country
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
