Description

We are looking for experienced Project Managers to join our Global Excellence Centre in Manila. The opportunity is in our growing UK team, where you will be delivering Project and Program Management outcomes for major clients.

The team works on projects across Buildings, Infrastructure and Water and so requires someone with a broad understanding and / or appetite to learn.

The purpose of the job is to undertake a development role, providing assistance to deliver distinct element of project management assignments, undertaking practical tasks in support of more senior colleagues, developing their full technical ability in the field of project management and will be able to work independently from broad instructions and gaining appreciation of Arcadis service lines and businesses.

Also, learn how to apply theoretical skills from their education within an office and project environment. Key accountabilities

  • Contribute to a range of professional project management assignments by undertaking practical tasks, monitor and review work undertaken by more junior colleagues and work with senior colleagues to ensure programmes of work are undertaken and project milestones are met such as planning, project controls, programme reporting, risk management and general project management support functions and notify more senior colleagues of any discrepancies to ensure management has access to up-
  • to-date and accurate information to aid their decision-making

  • Understand and comply with all risk and compliance principles, taking standard corrective action or reporting any unsafe or inappropriate situations or wider project risks, to ensure the delivery of the project is not adversely impacted
  • Interpret data and prepare supporting documentation such as dashboards and reports, making straightforward recommendations to support senior colleagues in their decision making process
  • Take a proactive role in assessing and evaluating project management processes, sharing knowledge, identifying opportunities and providing advice to help improve processes and systems
  • Apply technical methods and expertise to complete complex, professional level tasks as requested by colleagues, prioritising case load and interpreting established policies in order to effectively support the project management function
  • Provide support on project management queries to customers inside and outside the business, ensuring an efficient and high-
  • quality provision of information to all internal and external stakeholders

    Qualifications

  • Have a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent in a relevant discipline
  • 1-2 years of project management experience in consultancy or contracting organisations
  • Basic knowledge in specialised field, including construction processes and / or cost and commercial management.
  • Proficiency with desktop applications (e.g. MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
