General Accountability :

The EUC manager is responsible for interpreting, planning, organizing, executing, coordinating and tracking progress of end user computing projects for the Finance function.

He / she will provide expert judgement and analysis for the design, development and implementation of products, processes, plans and procedures relating to end user computing.

He / she is expected to provide effective decisions, resulting in considerable financial benefit to the business, increased quality and improved experience in doing business.

Key Responsibilities :

  • SharePoint and Database administration - develop wide range of spreadsheet modelling applications and database / web mining tools utilizing SQL and VBA for applications.
  • Includes manipulation and development of automated spreadsheets and database applications through VBA programming. Develop various Sharepoint sites for function business use.

  • Continuous Improvement - serve as a change agent by continuously searching and proposing more efficient ways of doing day to day activities.
  • Resolve relatively complex problems independently and partnering with relevant IT groups.

  • Risk Management Manage the commissioning and qualification process for EUC development. Develop and ensure compliance with established quality standards and governance.
  • Stakeholder Management - effectively gather stakeholder requirements, through workshops and focus groups, and incorporate in the product.
  • Ensure that requirements are also aligned with the organization's direction. create user manual based on product and conduct training if necessary on product's functionality.

  • Project Management - follow short iterative and incremental development cycles to produce prototypes allowing faster product delivery, early testing of the prototype and continuous integration.
  • create test plans to ensure requirements are captured and executed correctly. Document the creation of product and transition plan to operations.

    Capture financial benefits of projects.

  • Technology migration Lead specific technology migration, i.e. Conversion of EUC tools from Essbase to SmartView
  • People Leadership Provide technical mentoring and coaching to junior EUC staff. Partner with the EUC staff for their individual development plan and career pathing.
  • Qualifications :

  • Graduate of Computer Science, Information Technology, Accounting technology, or related courses
  • Working knowledge on operational excellence or lean six sigma
  • Advanced Excel VBA experience required
  • Strong experience of optimizing performance in MS Excel
  • Strong working knowledge with Essbase and Smartview
  • SQL Server and SSIS background, preferred
  • Strong working knowledge with Microsoft Infopath and O365 tools, esp. Sharepoint Online and Power BI
  • Effective verbal and written communication for both a technical and non-technical audience
  • Competencies :

  • Capable of gathering and validating requirements in order to resolve issues and problems

  • Demonstrated strength at evaluating feasibility or practicality of ideas and options, assesses risks and trade-offs; makes informed and timely decisions
  • Good working knowledge on finance, supporting business applications and procedures
  • Understands expectations that were set with client and recognizes when issues / events may affect delivery
  • Proven ability to quickly and easily adapt to changes within the business and organization
  • Good understanding of agile development
  • Well-developed planning and organization skills
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize own work within project timelines
  • Competent at facilitating, creating materials and presenting level appropriate material in a small group meeting
  • Takes first steps to act on ideas and opportunities with minimal direction
  • Strives to seek out ways to improve team dynamics and develop people
