RR Position Title : Systems Engineer (Cloud)

RF Role Purpose : The role holder is self-sufficient when resolving routine problems or enquiries across several products, product sets and systems or technologies for multiple customers.

The role holder is competent when working under pressure and has adegree of autonomy when dealing with unexpected problems, more complex escalations and helping to maintain the availability of the IT services delivered to end users.

The role holder also delivers low to medium complexity work packages as part of customer implementation projects.

RF Key Accountabilities

Technical Capability. Works within a team with some supervision supporting end users with technical queries relating to several products / systems (e.

g. Microsoft products, operating systems, networks, applications, PCS).

  • Business Awareness. Develops an understanding of the customers environment and service delivery requirements to enable the delivery of the service.
  • Process. Follows established processes / systems and recommends improvements to these as appropriate to resolve routine customer enquiries.
  • Documents actions taken to resolve enquiries.

  • Problem Solving. Takes ownership for listening to and understanding the customer's problem. Escalates and / or gains support where necessary to resolve the problem.
  • Uses relevant information to diagnose and to resolve or enable resolution in a timely manner.

  • Service Level. Escalates issues as necessary to deliver required service level and meet or exceed customer expectations / SLA.
  • Monitors performance through statistical reporting and analysis.

  • Team Working. Acts as a team player being viewed by colleagues as an effective and helpful member of the team, demonstrating personal leadership and initiative.
  • Professional Development. Takes responsibility for learning about current products / systems to build own technical knowledge to support business requirements.

    Systems installation / decommissioning (HSIN) Level 3

  • Service desk and incident management (USUP) Level 3
  • IT operations (ITOP) Level 3 · System software (SYSP) Level 3
  • Change Management (CHMG) Level 3 · Release and deployment (RELM) Level 3
  • Security administration (SCAD) Level 3
  • Years of Experience : 3 - 5 Years

    Additional Role Information

    Able to plan, generate, install, or repair a system or major sub-system (e.g. Client / server system installation, infrastructure support applicant), and lead to improved client understanding and self-sufficiency

    Able to deliver 'support services to customers or Fujitsu groups (e.g. education planning, first and second-level product / service support, network planning and management)

    Exposure to Microsoft Technologies, primarily Microsoft Windows Server, and Microsoft Exchange. Strong experience in Cloud server deployment and management.

    Good working knowledge and understanding of AD, WINS, DHCP, DNS

    Good working knowledge of Windows clustering and load balancing (WLBS)

    Good working knowledge of networking and TCP / IP

    Broad level of knowledge of Enterprise applications including IIS, Web filters, SQL, ISA, Mail filters, Proxy Servers

    Management & Monitoring tools e.g. CA TNG

    Citrix administration skills an advantage

    Azure and AWS Skills and certification

    Knowledge and Practical Experience / s in :

    Server migration to cloud ( Planning and operational support)

    Windows

    Active Directory, Azure AD

    Windows Server 2008 / 2016 / 2019

    Azure Log Analytics

    WSUS (Patch management)

    VmWare

    VmWare Health Analyzer

    vRealize Automation, vRO, Vrops, Vrealize Log Insight
