Responsible for project control activities for poultry Project in Philippines with medium to highcomplexity category as defined by the Build PPM complexity differentiators,including project leadership, project planning, project execution, projectcontrol and business results.

Responsible for leading thestrategic control plan of all Build Project Management objectives requiringFunctional Engineering / Technology Domain Area expertise application andoversight.

Project Leadership

  • Provides project control strategic vision to the project team utilizingindustry leading knowledge of Build project management practices, strategiesand procedures, and must posess.
  • Leads periodic project control process utilizing industry leadingknowledge of the project delivery process for Build projects (inclusive ofreviews recognized by the construction industry).
  • Identifies, recommends and implements project control management bestpractices based on industry leading knowledge of project management
  • Provides project control mentorship, coaching and development for teammembers and functional leads as appropriate.
  • Champions and reinforces Cargill’s behavioral based safety process andzero fatalities throughout every phase of Build projects.
  • Ensures Build projects are planned and executed in compliance withcommitted plan
  • Works with projectmanager to lead engineering firms acrossa large number of engineering disciplines.
  • Project Planning

  • Defines technical project objectives utilizing industry leading knowledgeof project management practices and procedures.
  • Leads development of the project scope based on industry leadingknowledge of Build project management practices, strategies and procedures andcapital effectiveness best practices.
  • Prepares the plan for how the Build project is executed, monitored andcontrolled and works with the Project Manager to develop the Integrated ProjectPlan for the project.
  • Partners with cross-functional leaders to leverage resources, knowledgeand strategiesthat increase value capturedthroughout the Build project.
  • Project Execution

  • Mornitoring the execution ofBuild projects with medium to high complexity.
  • Utilizes the projectmanagement framework to support project manager to achieve technical projectobjectives of delivered safely, on time, on budget and operability results arerealized for medium to high complexity Build projects
  • Project Control

  • Regularly measures and monitors project progress to identify variancesfrom the plan and make needed corrections for medium to high complexity Buildprojects.
  • Contains and resolvestechnical issues within the Build project that do not require Project Managerattention.
  • Business Results

  • Accountable for providing the Project Sponsor and stakeholders with aroutine status of the Build project, actively communicating technical issuesand threats, and ensuring that leadership alignment is a priority.
  • Works with business to ensure project is successfully implemented andtechnical benefits and value are captured for medium to high complexity Buildprojects.
  • Ensures the Build project meets the operability requirements laid out inthe project objectives by the business.
  • Accountable for achieving strategic and tactical metrics from internaland external benchmarking; indices may include Safety Fatalities, OperabilityIndex, Cost Index, Schedule Index, etc.
  • Ensures successfulcompletion and closure of all technical aspects of the Build project.
  • Qualifications

    Minimum RequiredQualifications

  • Bachelors Degree inEngineering : Civil, Chemical, Food Processing, Mechanical or Electrical.
  • Minimum 6 years ofexperiences in the related area.
  • Willing to work inan international as well as in a multifunctional organization
  • Excellent Englishfor both spoken and writing.
  • Good skilled aboutusing Ms. Project solftware or related tools to manage project progressing
  • Familiar with Excel.etc tools to mornitor contracts movement
  • Knowledge anddemonstrated experience with the Portfolio and Project Management process forfull rigor Build projects, including PPM and Build deliverables
  • Proven ability tolead multifunctional teams and build and leverage relationships across multiplefunctions and businesses to maximize team performance and achieve projectobjectives
  • Proven ability toleverage Environmental, Health & Safety, Food Safety, Quality andRegulatory Affairs experts to plan and execute the project to comply with thelaws of the country for the project
  • Proven ability tochampion Cargill's behavioral based safety process and zero fatalities
  • Proven ability toapply project controls best practices to improve the predictabilty andeffectiveness of the project's cost and schedule control (work breakdownstructure, cost estimating methods & validation, project executionplanning, and cost & schedule control during execution)
  • Proven ability toleverage Change Management principles and tools throughout a project. (for example communication planning,stakeholder management, RASCI)
  • Knowledge anddemonstrated experience effectively managing an engineering firm, particularlyscoping and managing the work of third party engineering and related consultingcompanies
  • Proven ability topartner wtih Strategic Sourcing to leverage Cargill's global strategies andsupplier relationships when evaluating major sourcing decisions, achievingsignificant business results and / or competitive advantages in situationsinvolving difficult or complex negotiations, and properly administer procurement and construction agreements usedto procure goods and services
  • Proven ability toleverage and apply best practices (document management, construction managementtechniques & strategies, risk analysis techniques & control methods, quality assurance &inspections)
  • Knowledge anddemonstrated experience managing documents in accordance to Cargill's guidelines,policies and procedures for Records & Information Management, IntellectualProperty, Corporate Audit and Corporate Financial Reporting
  • Knowledge anddemonstrated experience with contingency policies and procedures, managingcontingency usage and job accounting systems and tracking, forecasting, takingappropriate actions to correct deviations from budget & reporting coststhroughout a project
  • Proven teamleadership, mentoring, coaching and delegating skills
  • Highself-initiative, setting own goals and execution
  • Motivation andability to execute projects / tasks in a timely manner, Strong prioritization andtime management skills

  • Preferred Qualifications

  • Job experience : minimum 8 years in Engineering & Contruction environment plus experience inmanaging other technical functions.
  • Lead ProjectDefinition Rating Index review, completed Independent Project Analysis reviews
  • CompletedConstruction Project Management course, Build Project Manager Academy coursesor relevant previous project experience
  • OSHO 30 hourscontruction safety course
  • Trained ProjectWorkshop Facilitator
  • Strong influencingskills, ability to work across the organization and with multiple functions
  • Demonstrated skillsat managing and leading in complex and ambiguous situations
  • Demonstratedexperience continuously enhancing the quality of the project managementprocesses and coaching / training the team on implementing effective qualitymanagement practices
  • Recognizedachievements and contributions to Cargill in their area of expertise
