Deltek technical writers put knowledge at our customers’ fingertips, increasing the value and satisfaction that users get from our products.
They take complex information and make it simple to understand, appealing, and easy to access. They create content that is thorough, accurate, and clearly written and deliver it in multiple media, including online help, videos, in-app walkthroughs, and printable guides.
They also help improve processes for content development and delivery and embrace new tools and strategies.
Our technical writers work in an agile environment with an international development team, working in collaboration with product managers, engineers, QE analysts, and technical writing peers.
In this role, you will :
Take responsibility, with supervision, for researching and creating content for documentation projects.
Develop expertise in one or more areas of Deltek’s product suite.
Participate in team decision-making about style, technology, and process issues.
Participate in learning activities to build skills and knowledge.
Minimum 1-2 years in a technical writing role or related communication role.
Bachelor’s degree in Technical Communication, English, Journalism, or a related area of study, or equivalent experience.
Solid English writing skills, including the ability to describe complex concepts and processes to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Solid communication and listening skills.
The desire to contrribute to a highly collaborative team.
Solid independent research skills and attention to detail.
Solid technical aptitude and a basic understanding of software development processes.
The potential to become fluent with XML authoring tools, content management systems, and collaboration and source-control tools.
Experience with the Microsoft Office suite.
A positive attitude, eagerness to learn, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
