RoleSummary :

TheFund Accounting Change and Transformational Team for Reporting is responsiblefor designing, building, and deploying innovative solutions in the Reportingspace of the Fund Administration business.

Theobjectives of the Team includes, but are not limited to thefollowing :

  • Establisha standard operating model across catered locations
  • Optimizeplatform capabilities and data feeds
  • Developa straight through process flow with upstream teams
  • Enhancethe external audit management with data owners
  • Enablean exception-based review process
  • Theteam’s main client are the Financial Reporting and Regulatory Reportingoperational teams. The output reports are prepared by the operational teams ona cyclical basis (e.

    g, monthly, quarterly, semi-annual or annually) dependingon the team in accordance with regulatory guidelines in the home country (e.

    g.,Ireland, Luxembourg, Switzerland,U.K.and U.S).

    Agood understanding of the Financial Reporting and / or Regulatory Reportingprocess is key for the job holder to execute the project activities.

    Theactivities to be performed revolve around the Design-Develop-Executemodel.

    Duties

  • Executeproject activities using agreed methodology with detailed documentation (e.g.,tests, research, process understanding, presentation)
  • Demonstratetechnical adeptness on the process and systems through proactive discussionswith the team
  • Providetimely status reports of activities within the team and certain stakeholders,especially issues and risks that can affect projecttimelines
  • Coordinatewith stakeholders for which the activities have dependencies from (e.g., systemcapability owners, upstream data owners, Reporting operationalteams)
  • Coordinateactivities with dependency stakeholders including setting up discussions,establishing workflows and raise / close-out issues
  • Activelyparticipate in team huddles and meetings
  • Sharebest practices to improve project approach andmethodologies
  • Completeproject activities according to agreed timeline

  • Experienceand Qualifications

  • At least2 years of financial statement preparation or assurance services in an AuditFirm, or financial institution;
  • Bachelor’sdegree in Accounting or Finance
  • CertifiedPublic Accountant (CPA) is highly desirable
  • Backgroundin regulatory / statutory reporting will be preferred
  • Experienceon transitions / consolidation of various systems and completing necessaryreconciliations (preferred)
  • Experienceon tax and regulatory reporting (preferred)
  • Knowledgeand Skills

  • Knowledgeof accounting and regulatory concepts, financial instruments and productsacquired through studies and related work experience
  • Excellentdesktop, IT and systems skills. Experience of Sungard InvestOne fund accountingplatform or Confluence Unity / FundARC Suite financial reporting systemsadvantageous.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word

  • EssentialKnowledge of US GAAP, UK GAAP, Lux GAAP, Swiss GAAP or IFRS through studiesand / or work experience (preferred)
  • Knowledgeof related systems : Bloomberg, Reuters (preferred)
  • Excellentinterpersonal skills, as this role requires interaction at all levels of theorganization and externally, fluent English necessary.
