PicnicHealth is a San Francisco, California-based, venture capital-funded healthcare and technology company. Our mission is to structure the world’s medical data to make it useful.

We work directly with patients to collect, digitize, and manage their complete medical records, empowering them with control over their care through a personal health timeline.

Through this work we’re building the data sets that power some of today’s most cutting edge medical research. We’re on track for rapid growth in the next year, coming off of our recent Grand Prize finish in Google Cloud’s Machine Learning Startup Competition.

The office in Cebu, Philippines is responsible for medical record processing operations RNs, Medical Technologists, Pharmacists and Collections Agents who work with a wide-range of medical records, creating usable databases and beautiful timelines.

In addition, the Cebu office is a new tech startup office with its own challenges and opportunities ones we feel are best addressed by a strong, local team.

Job Brief

  • We are looking for a qualified team leader to manage our operations teams and provide effective guidance. You will be responsible for supervising, managing and motivating team members on a daily basis.
  • As a team leader, you will be the contact point for all team members, so your communication skills should be excellent.
  • You should also be able to act proactively to ensure smooth team operations and effective collaboration.

  • Ultimately, you should lead by setting a good example and engage the team to achieve goals.
  • Responsibilities

  • Perform regular coaching sessions with team members recognizing strengths and develop action plans to address areas for improvement
  • Identify key performers and work with them to create a PDP (Performance Development Plan) - for succession planning purposes
  • Engage and motivate team
  • Hold weekly / monthly performance evaluation and one-on-one reviews for team members
  • Set and communicate performance expectations / individual goals regularly
  • Define performance measurement for new or periodic assignments other than Productivity or Quality
  • Closely monitor the performance of and timely feedback to probationary employees including recommendation for probationary expiration or regularization
  • Manage unsatisfactory / marginal performers, PIP enrollment
  • Recognize high performance and reward accomplishments
  • Address and manage team members’ non-compliance to the code of conduct and policies
  • Manage undesirable employee behavior
  • Address leave management and approvals
  • Resolve inter / intra-team conflicts
  • Make decisions involving employee discipline
  • Requirements

  • At least 2 years Operations Team Leader experience in a BPO environment
  • Preferably with extensive experience in a healthcare account (BPO)
  • Strong leadership skills, can motivate team members and comfortable in giving constructive feedback
  • Accountable and highly motivated
  • Comfortable leading and operating in ambiguous environments
  • Decisive and comfortable making decisions in an unstructured environment
