  • Primary Responsibilities

    1st primary responsibilities : Manage the daily operations of F&B Services

  • Ensure that proper Food and Beverage controls are in place and adhered to
  • Maximize revenues by communicating regularly with the Food & Beverage teams to implement agreed upon strategies, practices and promotions
  • Drive innovative promotions, menus and concepts; creating a destination of choice for both hotel and external guests.
  • Assist and guide in the preparation of the annual strategic plan and achieve the goals and targets therein.
  • Execute the delivery of department promotions and new menus; creating a destination of choice for both hotel and external guests.
  • Address guest concerns and react quickly and professionally
  • Ensure all Food & Beverage leaders have full knowledge of all menus in the various outlets
  • Monitor all guest service standards, constantly seeking ways to improve product and service as well as increase volumes and profits
  • Conduct regularly scheduled departmental meetings.
  • 2nd primary responsibilities : Manage P&L and Budget of F&B Service

  • Lead and support all Food & Beverage outlets in the achievement of their financial and operational targets; including P&L, budgeting and forecasting.
  • Implement effective control of food, beverage, labour and operating expenses.
  • Adhere to the annual budget and administer it in a fiscally responsible manner.
  • 3rd primary responsibilities : Management and Leadership of the F&B Service Team

  • Lead and supervise the Food & Beverage team in all aspects of the department and ensure service standards are followed.
  • Select, train and develop Colleagues to ensure timely recruitment and career growth
  • Balance operational, administrative and Colleague needs
  • Follow all safety and sanitation policies when handling food and beverage
  • 4th primary responsibilities : Involvement as a Leader of the Hotel Leadership Team

  • Maintain safety by adhering to stated safety policies and handle guest and employee accidents.
  • Ensure Occupational Safety & Health Act, local health and safety codes, and company safety and security policy are met.
  • Ensure complete and timely execution of Corporate & local marketing plans
  • Complete responsibility for compliance of Fairmont Codes of Conduct.
  • Articulate ideas and concepts easily and express point of view with confidence.
  • Other Responsibilities

  • Follow department policies, procedures and service standards
  • Increase knowledge of the industry trends.
  • The ability to think out of the box’ and see the big picture.
  • Strong experience in computer programs such as : Adobe Creative Suite 4 (or higher); Excel, Word, Publisher, and Power Point.
  • Main Complexity / Critical issues in the Job

  • Efficiency of quality customer service to all our guests.
  • Management of the guest service experience / personalization.

    Profile Knowledge and Experience

  • University / College degree in a related discipline preferred
  • Previous Food & Beverage experience in a leadership role required
  • Strong Food & Beverage knowledge.
  • Proficient in the English; bilingual is an asset
  • Computer literate in Microsoft Window applications required
