Job Description

The Business Support Officer works with the Sales and Marketing teams (Product Managers, Key Accounts Managers / Key Accounts Officers, and other support functions) to assist / support in the planning, implementation, and communication to relevant teams and the evaluation of marketing and sales-initiated activities through coordination with different medical societies and internal stakeholders.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

Assessment of Marketing / Sales-initiated Activities

  • Supports and assists in the efforts to identify the scientific needs of the different territories, groups or societies
  • Supports in the design and ensures implementation method of review and approval of submitted activities
  • Aligns, monitors and ensures budget spending of all approved activities
  • Ensures that the CME Guidelines and Request Forms are cascaded and understood by internal stakeholders
  • Supports in the design and executes communication of promotional announcements for each program and implementation of brand / disease awareness activities for internal stakeholders
  • Ensures that all marketing activities are well-coordinated from approval to close-out
  • Supports in the execution of approved marketing activities for major congresses and hospital department activities
  • Communicates and coordinates execution of activities with Society Organizers and Sales Teams
  • Logistics Support for Marketing / Sales-Initiated Programs

  • Provides on-site support for each program including attendance, distribution and collection of evaluation feedback, equipment support and others as stipulated in the Event Request Form
  • Develops and maintains a file for all completed marketing-initiated activities
  • Maintains a current database of speakers, KOLs, and key Society Officers
  • Arranges marketing / sales-initiated meetings and takes minutes
  • Attends key society meetings to provide support for the logistics needs of activity participation
  • Other Administrative Functions

  • Ensures the timely submission of complete documents for approval (GEARS, Ariba, etc.)
  • Ensures the timely communication of feedback / progress of Marketing / Sales-initiated activities
  • Supports and leads in provision of logistics needs to the Country Lead and other support functions
  • Qualification Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in any business or medical- related field
  • At least 3 years of work experience in engaging internal & external customers and in administrative functions
  • Competencies Required

  • Strong organizational skills, accuracy and attention to details
  • Compliance- focused
  • Proficient in MS Office Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Can confidently engage with KOLs
