JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS :
The Cancer Screening and Prevention in Rural Communities (CASPER) lab (PI : Jennifer Moss, PhD) in the Department of Family and Community Medicine is seeking a postdoctoral scholar for a 1-year (with potential extension) opportunity to contribute to ongoing and novel research projects on geographic disparities in cancer prevention and outcomes.
Ongoing projects examine how community / geographic factors (e.g., rurality, social cohesion) are related to cancer prevention behaviors and uptake of clinical services.
The postdoctoral scholar will have opportunities for grant and manuscript writing, human subjects research, and professional development.
The ideal candidate will have a doctoral degree (PhD preferred) in public health, health promotion, or related field. Experience using SAS (including complex survey analysis, multilevel models, or other advanced procedures), training or experience with human subjects' research, familiarity with disparities and cancer prevention, and strong written communication skills highly desired.

Pursuant to the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act and the Pennsylvania Act of 1988, Penn State publishes a combined Annual Security and Annual Fire Safety Report (ASR).
The ASR includes crime statistics and institutional policies concerning campus security, such as those concerning alcohol and drug use, crime prevention, the reporting of crimes, sexual assault, and other matters.
