We wish to inform you that the DSWD-NCR, Reception and Study Center for Children has a vacant Social Welfare Officer I positionwithitem no.

OSEC-DSWDB-SOCWO1-154-2004, SG 11 with a monthly compensation rate of Php18,549.00 .Internal staff should submit performance evaluation from immediate supervisor and performance rating which is at least very satisfactory for the last rating period (January to June 2013) :

Additional Requirements / Competencies :

  • Preferably with training along Domestic / Inter Country Adoption Laws
  • Preferably with relevant experience in processing Pre-Adoption (RA9523) and Domestic Adoption Programs

  • Primary Functions :

    vConducts of adoption and foster care forum.

    vAgency visit to provide technical assistance on case management.

    vConduct home visits, interviews to assess capability as foster parents and adoptive parents, case conferences, collateral interviews to neighbors and barangay officials.

    vPrepares Child / Home / Parenting Capability Assessment (PCA).

    vConducts foster care monitoring, supervised trial custody visits and prepares post placement reports.

    vRecommends issuance of consent to adoption, foster care licensed and foster placement authority.

    vPrepares letters / communication and actions to documents.

    vPrepares monthly caseload inventory / calendar of activities / individual accomplishment, semi-annual reports and unit’s quarterly MFO.

    vHandles cases for several LGUs based on area of assignment.

    vAttends to queries of walk-in clients.

    vProvides response to disaster duty whenever necessary.

    vPerform other related tasks as may be assigned.
