Key Responsibilities :
This position is responsible mainly in ensuring that the FRSC Data Warehouse and OLAP Cubes were updated and that the data is secured from unauthorized access.
Assist and support the Lead BI Developer / DBA in SQL Database setup, provide technical support to other project initiatives and support system back-end administration and maintenance.
Build capacity of OLAP users.Conduct research, testing and recommendations for other system tools to enhance system performance to continually satisfy client’s requirements.
Major Activities :
Ensure completeness, reliability and timeliness of data within Data Warehouse.
This includes, but is not limited to the following :
Uploading of different sets of data into datawarehouse.
Processing of OLAP cubes after data loading
Validating data from source file vs SQL Tables and OLAP Cubes.
Analyzing invalid data from codes to values.
Updating of fields and dimensions
Updating of PowerBI Templates and Dashboards.
Communicating changes, corrections and updates to users.
Maintaining data loaders with any required changes and updates.
Perform all sorts of troubleshooting and technical support related to FRSC Datawarehouse, OLAP Cubes and PowerBI.
Providing Level 2 technical support in OLAP / Datawarehouse connectivity related problems.
Performing data analysis for validaton and reconciliation
Documenting technical processess done within OLAP group for internal and external use.
Coordinating with stakeholder’s data requirements.
Preparing data requirements for project implemetation.
Providing PowerBI technical support to users (User license, connectivity, start-up process, refreshing of dashboards, updating tables and templates, etc.)
Training FRSC staff and partnership users in using OLAP cube and getting started with PowerBI.
Perform server maintenance procedures as scheduled and as required.
This includes but not limited to the following :
Daily monitoring of server performance managed by FRSC Datawarehouse group.
Coordination with KL GCIT regular server maintenance and downtime schedule.
Testing of servers after schedule downtime to ensure availability of servers.
Escalation of server problems encountered to KL GCIT Support
Coordination with the Lead BI Developer / DBA on database storage assessment and future storage requirements
Performs other related functions as may be necessary and delegated from time to time.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Candidate must possess a Bachelor's Degree in IT, Computer Science and related course.
Knowledgeable in SQL Server Administration, RDBMS and OLAP Cubes
Knowledge and experience in using Accounting Software and other applications
Preferred Skills
Knowledge in other Business Intelligence tools
Knowledge in Financial Reporting tools
Advanced Excel (Pivot, PowerPivot, PowerBI)
2At least 1 or 2 years work experience in server maintenance
