The Downstream & Trading Reporting & Analysis (R&A) Organization is a team of >
1,000 colleagues providing accurate, timely and insightful analysis to deliver more and cleaner energy solutions.
Within this organization, there is a cluster of teams responsible for Americas End to End Financial reporting activities.
This role will support the growing US Midstream business, which delivers America’s energy needs safely and reliably for 100 years.
This person will be an Individual Contributor and will report to the R&A FAC Senior Manager.
What is the Role?
The R&A FAC Analyst is accountable in completing all assigned complex process activities (General Leger, Group Reporting, Management Information, Fixed assets, Statutory and others) in a timely and accurate manner.
The role is also expected to effectively manage interfaces with Finance and Non-Finance stakeholders and to build end to end perspective including ensuring operational and design effectiveness of the controls within his / her areas of responsibility.
This role will work with a team of finance professionals who support the Midstream business.

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance with a minimum of 2-3 years of Post Qualification experience in Accounting or other relevant Finance discipline (preferably Accounting)
Understanding of the RDS corporate structure and governance processes, IAS (International Accounting Standards), US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and Shell Group Accounting Standards.
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Applications especially Excel. Familiarity of S4 and Midstream business will be an added advantage.
Self-motivated, self-starting, and able to manage / integrate with others in different functions and in a multicultural and diverse business environment.
Proactive, creative and pragmatic thinker, looking beyond the scope of requests being made.
Highly developed analytical skills with perceptive and clear strategic abilities.
Ability to communicate effectively at all levels including senior stakeholders. Clear and concise English communication, both oral and in written, is a must.
Affinity for change and the ability to work in ever evolving teams as well as through others.
Effective communicator of complex accounting and closing issues. Business Process Improvement focus.
