Functionally competent and working toward functional expertise in the field of software engineering as it relates to the business objectives of Asurion.
This includes design, code, test, and debug applications that meets system standards and functional requirements using Pega (PRPC) platform for Asurion Retail technology team.
The position will assist in code reviews and with the activities for approved Projects, system improvements, and ad-hoc or emergency requests.
Summary of Responsibilities
Performing solution architecture within the Pega PRPC environment.
Designing class structures, application frameworks, and data models.
Coordinating with the project team to ensure the business architecture matches the needs of the customer.
Integrating business databases, legacy systems, and web services.
Troubleshooting application issues, coding bugs, and bottlenecks.
Conducting system performance tests.
Maintaining the security of all system applications.
Ability to Translate business requirements into design / application builds
Contributes to best practice definitions
Critically reviews work of other team members
Analyzes, Identifies and logs enhancements / bugs for PEGA PRPC V7.X
Drives delivery of assigned tasks on schedule
Leads and participates in project teams
Uses and promotes the use of best practice project management and testing tools by working in an Agile-SCRUM based work environment
Executes other responsibilities and key result
Specific knowledge / experience in most of the following preferred :
Advance Knowledge of PEGA PRPC V7.X and V8.X architecture and components.
XML, Web Services, HTML, SQL, Node.js
Some experience with some combination of full-stack modern technologies (i.e., React, Node, Java, Amazon Web Services (AWS))
Hands-on experience with defining and implementing the release process
Experience and Educational Requirements
BS in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field required
5 or more years of software development experience required
Pega Certified Senior System Architect
Experience in Pega Customer Service framework is preferred
