Customer Quality Incident Resolution Owner where he / she provides leadership for an effective and timely resolution of quality incidents received mostly from Automotive or Strategic customers with impact being standard to critical and spill.
Shall catalyze actions to drive for an improved external customer experience towards the company’s customer quality engineering support service.
Product Quality Owner where he / she is expected to monitor and analyze product health data from external customers. Shall catalyze actions to drive for an improved external customer experience towards the company’s product quality.
The Voice of Customer going into and out of Microchip. Aside from customer quality incidents, this would mostly involve feedback related to customer satisfaction rating, continuous improvement areas and audit or visit requests.
Lead and complete projects or initiatives that impact the department, the Philippine site, and even beyond these organizations.
Report to immediate and even up to upper management the status of key performance metrics and projects.
Supervise, train or mentor Customer Quality Technicians and Engineers.
Lead a team responsible for, at least, a product family under a business unit where he is expected to : (1) Help lead a multi-cultural and cross functional team or task force organized to resolve critical incidents or spills, (2) Help in the effective prioritization of customer quality incidents and communication with Customer Quality Managers, Sales or customers, and (3) Help develop and execute strategies to meet or exceed customer requirements and the set operational goals.
Assist the Quality Manager, Customer Quality Management Team, or Sales in the generation of monthly, operations review or customer presentable reports / data for upper management or customer review or presentation.
Shall attend and participate in upper management or customer meetings if needed or assigned to do so.
Holds, at least, a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering preferably in the field of Electronics or Electrical.
Has more than twelve (12) years relevant experience in a semiconductor manufacturing environment with work experience from Quality and Reliability, Product and Process Engineering.
Very strong knowledge and experience about the following topics :
Semiconductor manufacturing processes and controls from wafer fabrication, assembly, testing and up to warehousing and shipping.
Product design, function, specification, reliability, and application of specific Microchip products.
7 basic quality tools, Fail Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), Control Plan, 5-Why, Fault Tree, and 8-Discipline Problem Solving.
Integrated circuit (IC) failure analysis flows, equipment and tools. In addition, the various failure modes and failure mechanisms.
Standards related to ISO, Automotive and others applicable to the semiconductor industry.
Has proven ability to solve complex problems
Able to coordinate and execute multiple tasks consistently and successfully.
Has very strong leadership and analytical skills.
Very strong written and verbal English communication skills.
Able to supervise or mentor technicians and / or engineers with lower grade. Has demonstrated people supervisory or management skills.
