Our Azure Engineer are doing just that as trusted advisors providing expertise in cloud transformation and optimization.

As an Azure Engineer you’ll manage customer cloud environments, supporting and transforming Azure technology.

Whilst solving our customer's business challenges, you’ll provide enablement not only in the technology but also in modern ways of working to support its use.

This is a flexible and varied role working with a diverse range of customers across the cloud transformation spectrum to :

Be a trusted advisor for all things Cloud

Lead and inspire our customers on the benefits of cloud technology, automation, and enabling a DevOps / DevSecOps culture

Ensure our customer's cloud environments remain secure and optimized

Act as the bridge between application technologies and customer support teams

Provide enablement and guidance

This is an operational role and involves an on-call roster for after-hours support

About you : Requirements

Requirements

Strong certifications in Azure and DevOps Solutions. AZ-104 is not enough. We need at least AZ-204 (Developing Solutions for MS Azure) and ideally AZ-400 (Designing and Implementing MS DevOps Solutions) plus AZ-500 (MS Azure Security Technologies).

If you also have Architecture certifications or Hybrid Cloud certifications, that might be a plus but those alone are NOT adequate.

Certifications are not enough. We need to see strong and varied practical hands-on experience in Azure and automation.

A successful candidate needs to be familiar with Git, repos, and DevOps processes.

We want to see evidence of using Infrastructure as Code (ARM templates, Bicep, Terraform and CDKTF, etc) and automation (Powershell coding skills, Azure DevOps, ability to code Azure functions).

Strengths in traditional MS technologies such as AD, Exchange, M365, and Virtual Desktop are of little interest as our Cloud Run and Optimise Team does not do this stuff even if it is running in Azure.)

A person with some software background is far more likely to have the goods than somebody from an infrastructure background.

We do not want clickops people. They must be able to code and construct automation.

An ideal candidate will be comfortable talking to clients.
