Overall Objectives :

This position performs the company's public affairs function (internal / external) by building awareness and enhancing reputation of the company in the Philippines (corporate communications) and by enhancing visibility of key product growth drivers (therapeutic communications) in the public.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Develop corporate branding strategy to drive positive coverage and enhance reputation of the company in the Philippines as a partner of choice of targeted stakeholders, including but not limited to media, government, trade, industry, medical community, etc.
  • Map and establish trusted business relationships with key influencers in the traditional and digital media platforms, cognizant of ethical engagement practices, to have the company as top of mind and credible partner on delivery of updated and relevant health information
  • Create an integrated communications plan, harping on the company's innovation, culture and partnership programs for access, alliance and corporate responsibility
  • Lead local issues and incidents (communications) management plan development and cascade
  • Support commercial and customer solutions teams in integrating sound, balanced and ethically-compliant communications strategy in the development of marketing plans
  • Create opportunities and drive positive media coverage of the company's priority disease areas and key brands by developing and implementing a comprehensive public relations plan, particularly with respect to digitally-focused campaigns
  • Lead development of a comprehensive strategy for continuous, effective and relevant communications to employees focused on business integration, change management and employee engagement
  • Develop, integrate manage tools and systems for employee communication, closely working with human resources, IT and digital teams
  • Serve as the point of contact and direct responsible individual for liaison to regional and global stakeholders for internal campaigns of the company.
  • Identify gaps in communications capabilities and processes and develop and implement a program to enhance the communications capabilities of the company and its employees.
  • Provide communications leadership and strategic counsel to the country leadership team to contribute to supporting an aligned, constructive culture
  • Stay across competitor movements by monitoring press releases, advertising and publicity campaigns
  • Stay across local and industry media for articles relating to the pharmaceutical industry and issues affecting the company and / or its products and act upon releases accordingly
  • Lead for 3P contracting and management of media / PR agency, as required
