The Customer Engineer is responsible to provide technical support to address issues with products and services, particularly when it comes to the end-user experience.

His / her responsibilities revolve around diagnosing technical problems, coming up with solutions for these problems, and developing plans to address these issues once and for all.

Duties & Responsibilities :

  • Perform server related installation tasks Installation of OS and Applications
  • Perform server-related configuration and management tasks Users, Filesystems, Window Settings etc.
  • Plans and Implements server and application upgrades, maintenance fixes, and vendor-supplied patches.
  • Addresses and resolves assigned incidents in a timely escalation
  • Collaborate with external entities (e.g vendors) on trouble tickets / filed cases.
  • Develop and maintain installation and configuration procedures.
  • Repair and recover from hardware or software failures. Coordinate and communicate with impacted constituencies.
  • Apply OS patches and upgrades on a regular basis, and upgrade administrative tools and utilities.
  • Configure / add new services as necessary.
  • Perform periodic performance reporting to support capacity planning.
  • Configure CPU, memory, and disk partitions as required.
  • Perform Server Hardware Installation, Configuration, and Troubleshooting.
  • Perform Server and Workstation Operating System Backup and Imaging.
  • Provides post-sales maintenance support on Sun / Oracle servers and Solaris operating system at customer locations
  • Troubleshoots and replaces FRU level of Sun hardware and EMC Clarion storage
  • Performs preventive and proactive maintenance
  • Configure and install Unix / Linux servers
  • Qualifications : Education :

    Education :

  • Must be a graduate of BS Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or any computer-related course
  • Experience :

  • 0-2 years’ experience related to the requirements
  • Must have at least basic knowledge in Linux, server, and storage management
  • Skills & Competencies :

  • Attention to detail and good problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication and presentation skills, problem solver, interpersonal and team-oriented
  • Must be amenable to work in Makati or in Carmona Cavite.
  • Amenable to rotational shifting schedule.
