Position Purpose & Summary The responsibilities of this position is to ensure the efficiency in Export-Import of commodities from all the major & minor seaports and across the world.
This role requires the individual to lead and coordinate Export- Import Documentation (Containers & Bulk) Shipping Lines, Customs & Other Govt bodies, operations processes, Food Safety standard, Customer service and quality management.
Achieving operations efficiency to the highest possible standard and meeting the company's expectations. Principal Accountabilities
EXIM Documentation, Cost Management, customer focus, SOPs and food safety.
Ability to follow inventory management program to minimize shrink, damages, prevent unplanned condition problems.
Leverage and share best practices within the geography and across the region.
Full understanding of LC & CAD flow of business and INCO TERMS
For handling agro business have full understanding of GAFTA , FOSFA, RSAL, SAL clauses specially FM clauses, Peanlties clause against Extension of shipment period.
Full understanding of different kind of LOI for handling bulk shipment.
Coordinate with port authorities, Customs, owners and manage vessel origin and discharge cargo operations in line with its SOPs.
Timely execution and regular follow-up with all related counter parties.
Co-ordination for vessel execution with supplier / buyer / port operations and supervision co (domestic & international).
Various system updates & reportings.
Scruitinising and processing commodity / service Invoices for payment.
Maintaining accurate records of shipment execution as per business requirement.
Coordinating with operations team for pre & post shipment formalities.
This position has to deal with various TE teams located at various Cargill offices, third party customers / suppliers.
This position will need to work with multi-cultural team within different geographies where there are many bureaucratic, regulatory and legal challenges to operate within an environment that has a relatively low EHS and Food Safety awareness and standards, and ethical standards.
Many of which will have to be challenged and changed as we grow and normalize our operations. Security issues and associated risks are challenges that need to be addressed in an uneven playing field.
Multi-cultural customers (Ext. & Int.)
Degree in any field (preferably Biz management, Export / Import Documentation & foreign Trade)
Fluent in both written and spoken English
Computer proficiency Analytical tools, MS Office (word / excel / Power Point etc.),
0-3 yrs of exp in export / import execution of commodities.
Willing / available to travel if required.
Strong communication skills / soft skills.
Good working attitude, positive approach.
Flexible and adaptive to changing conditions in the business / markets / industry.
Have ability to work with the team
Effective decision making and problem solving skills.
ICC / IRR / ISBP rules as an added advantage.
Knowledge of import and export regulations in Philippines (other countries is an added advantage).
Knowledge regarding vessel handling and discharge operations
Knowledge in grains and other Agri commodities handling / conditions
Knowledge in cost and warehouse management
Knowledge of UCPDC / LCs / GAFTA / FOSFA / RSA / INCOTERMS etc
