The VP TAO will be accountable for maximizing integrated business value across the organization. Technical Asset Operations (TAO) is a key enabler for the accelerated delivery of Shell’s Asset Management System and will help us to reach our ultimate potential in Downstream Manufacturing, Integrated Gas and Upstream.
TAO provides high quality and cost-competitive technical resources who are not physically present at site yet are an integral part of asset teams delivering value through end-to-end AMS work processes.
Purpose & Accountabilities
Effectively acts as an internal TAO Subject Matter Expert in CMMS (data, standards, systems and process) deployment for in the Projects and the Handover of the CMMS to Asset.
Provide direct process support / coaching to Operations and Deployment teams support effective delivery of process activities.
Maintains link with relevant Asset Management System (AMS) and Operations Readiness and Commissioning and Start-Up (OR& CSU) process specialists to ensure the CMMS deployment specifications and plans are aligned with Project and Asset needs.
Support the development, maintenance and use of the Shell RDL (Reference Data Library) in Projects and Assets including the following : Interact with users consuming content from the RDL and support them identify relevant reference data for projects, assets and applications.
Generate project and asset information specifications including data models and reference dataGenerate application data specifications for engineering and asset management applicationsManage the release process and associated publication of changes to the user communityManage the change process that underpins the data centric journey of Shell and the industryHelp to process internal change requests from projects and assets, and interact with data SMEs and the technical discipline data leads to assess changes and improve the RDLHelp SMEs to initiate and track external change requests to e.
communicates process and technical developments to TAO staff and supports leaders, technical specialists and frontline staff with implementation.
Ensure that documentation on Master / Transactional data for the CMMS SAP-PM module is up to date and functional / fit for purpose.
Lead (and support where necessary) change management for data related part of the process changes, data analyses, reports and profiling.
Actively pursue improvements to the integrated design to further enhance the design in terms of technical data structures, workflow and user friendliness.
Accountable for capturing of learning and best practices from the projects covered and ensure the learnings database (with root causes and mitigation actions) is maintained as a key tool covering best practices.
Identify and lead strategic quality improvement initiatives within / across CMMS domain.Lead (and support where necessary) data initiatives across CMMS domain to articulate business opportunity, develop insights and identify "hot spots".
Coach AMS practitioners on system and data proficiency to facilitate efficient work process within Shell CMMS systems.
This position reports into the Operations Manager for Asset Data Foundation in Technical Asset Operations in SEAM. This position is an individual contributor role with deep technical expertise in the area.
Expected to operate with limited supervision and take full ownership of the strategic change agenda for CMMS in P2A. Will be expected to facilitate and coach AMS practitioners in TAO to have better alignment with AMS processes (MEC, ME, PMF).
Challenges include expectation and ambition of the business to quickly deliver high quality and the broad range of asset & project stakeholders and interfaces both in the business and within TAO & SBO teams.
Skills & Requirements
Education / Experience :
University Degree in an engineering discipline with extensive (10+) experience in Maintenance and / or Reliability Data-centric Operations.
Experience of 10+ years with SAP Plant Maintenance / Maximo and CAP Tools (AIM-EDMS, SPI, IDMS / Visions, wIMS).Business knowledge (context of use) related to Process Equipment (Upstream / Downstream) Design, Specification, Operation, Maintenance or Inspection.
Forward looking, solution oriented, demonstrated data analysis abilities, process / system design / implementation and communication skills.
Knowledge of Information Management, Design of Management Systems and Processes.Experience of leading change in complex, multi assets / portfolio environments and a track record in indirect influencing across teams and Job Groups.
Self-starter, able to work independently, display initiative and keen to take responsibility.Able to demonstrate strong analytical skills with experience of complex problem solving.
Experienced technical / process coach.
A self-starter, taking initiatives and work without close supervision.Due to multiple / conflicting priorities, candidate needs to be strong in prioritization, managing stakeholder expectations and be resilient under pressure.
Ability to work in a dynamic environment among multiple projects and ability to support ad-hoc requests.Sound understanding of business / process workflow and having mature mindset to deal and behave under tough / challenging situations.
