This position requires a bachelor’s degree and typically a minimum of 10+ years of overall relevant experience. A graduate degree in engineering, technology or business is preferred.

Must be able to manage in a deadline-driven environment, working closely with multiple personalities.

Must be able to write clearly and effectively, facilitating the communication between the Development group and internal and external clients.

Strong spelling, vocabulary and organizational skills are a must. Must have an understanding of project documentation and be able to meet aggressive deadlines.

Ability to work well with others in high pressure situations is required. The individual must have demonstrated experience in leadership skills, reasoning skills (analytic ability), and strong communication skills for listening to customers and business executives and clearly articulating needs and opportunities.

Excellent average written and verbal communication skills required. Must be able to mentor other less tenured associates to develop their skills in product development.

Must be able to work well with associates at all levels within the organization. The incumbent must be able to work independently as well as work effectively in groups.

Prior experience with an information solutions organization would be beneficial. Experience in software development and / or the consumer credit and finance industry a plus.

Some travel is required.

Impact You'll Make :

  • Product Strategy : Developing, refining, and maintaining product family strategy and roadmap.
  • Prioritizing product pipeline. Directing the strategic focus of product management efforts to support growth of multiple business units, translating corporate objectives into actionable plans.
  • Consulting with senior management on corporate strategies and alignment of goals across the organization.

  • In conjunction with product portfolio strategies, ensuring that new product line extensions and enhancements are proficiently developed and launched and achieve revenue targets.
  • Developing strategies for optimal workflow of product management and research tasks to support enterprise needs. Balancing criteria for developing product line extensions and enhancements with overall corporate objectives to maximize allocation of resources against projects.
  • Evaluates the feasibility of product opportunities and determine whether to implement. Oversees direction for their area of concentration, balancing needs of multiple business units within resource constraints.

    Continually assesses the effectiveness of department targets and changes to internal and external environments to adjust goals for maximum value to the organization.

  • Strategize on how to retire low utilization and end of life products.
  • Product Research & Business Development : Identifying new products that best serve the needs of our customers. Ensuring organization actively gathers competitive intelligence and market research to utilize in product portfolio strategy.
  • In conjunction with product portfolio strategies, ensure new product line extensions and enhancements are proficiently developed and launched.

    Lead understanding of product value and its distinction.

  • Product Knowledge : Leading efforts to improve product adoption and performance. Understands full scope of product attributes and functionality.
  • Provides product knowledge to clients and support to the sales team through various channels including webinar training, public speaking at industry trade events, and sustaining strong relationships with strategic partners to leverage market intelligence.
  • Examine product performance across verticals and across customers within verticals looking for and pursuing opportunities to drive new revenue growth.
  • Product Financials & Reporting : Establish pricing. Ensure ROI of product is achieved.

  • Ensures goals and measures for processes and products as well as the tools and framework are in place for execution against goals.
  • Develop, communicate, and track compliance to pricing models and guidelines.
  • Develop and confirm financial case (revenue, investment, and cost model).
  • May be asked to evaluate strategic fit of business partners, and makes recommendations to senior management on acquisition or partnership opportunities.
  • Notifying if there is a variance between the adoption rate against planned revenue schedule, what / who was involved in troubleshooting and course remedies, and oversee corrective actions are done.
  • Market Research & Product Improvement : Assessesing the market and identifies new customer segments and opportunities to promote solution- and consultative-based selling.
  • Provides market expertise, which requires in-depth market analysis, including segmentation, purchasing behaviors, competition, and trends.

  • Gather and understand opportunities to enhance and build new products and capabilities.
  • Industry Knowledge : Actively periodically gather and synthesize competitive, industry, and regulatory changes.
  • Attends various industry association functions. Maintains knowledge of industry trends, best practices and competitive product offerings.
  • Effectively communicates and leverages the organization’s strategic advantages and capabilities in comparison to them. Stays abreast of industry changes and helps educate customers as well.
  • Budgeting, Managing & Developing Staff : Reviewing and approving expenses. Analyzing budget for variances and taking corrective action as necessary.
  • Defining staff requirements based on business needs and budget. Establishing accountabilities and goals with measures for success.
  • Building development plans for associates to assist in career planning. Creates an environment that supports training and growth opportunities.

  • Defining the vision for the department and sets the leadership tone for accomplishing goals.
  • Serving as subject matter expert resource and providing on-the-job training and advice on initiatives.
