The Information Technology group provides enterprise-wide IT solutions for all of AIG’s specialized disciplines. Technology provides strategic and procedural support in all of AIG’s specialized disciplines, such as policy issuance, premium collection, claims handling, and administration.

It enables AIG to deliver business strategies through efficient world-class IT and operations services, while ensuring the necessary IT risk management and security measures are in place.

This role is within the Corporate Systems HRIT / Administration group in the Information Technology organization at AIG and a member of our Manila based support team.

The Worker Data Hub (WDH) team is responsible to support and assist with developing enhancements for WDH platform (IBM DataStage).

Co-located with other Corporate System teams will ensure support of the technology solutions and processes and apply break-fixes as needed.

As an integral member of our Corporate Systems HRIT / Administration team, the System Support Analyst is charged with using their technical and application knowledge to triage production issues and communicate to both stakeholders and management this includes priority assessment, fix in place, initiating and supporting resolution teams and the tenacity to carry tactical fixes to resolution.

To be successful in this role, the candidate must have experience and knowledge in infrastructure, operating systems (e.

g., Windows and Linux), databases (Oracle / SQLServer), networking, and designing and developing extract, transform and load (ETL) processes using IBM DataStage.

Other development tools and languages desired are SQL, Java and HTML5. Finally, the candidate must have communication skills to elaborate upon these topics in simple meaningful terms.

Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to :

  • Monitoring DataStage alerts and resolving issues.
  • Troubleshoot any data problems either incoming into WDH or outgoing from WDH. There are approximately 55 downstream systems that rely on timely, accurate worker data.
  • Execute daily health checks of systems and processes involved in the automation
  • Recommend control and service improvements. Carry these through as part of continuous improvement. Leverage knowledge on production support knowledge to create BAU dashboards and automate monitoring.
  • Work with Enterprise DBAs and Business Analysts if necessary to move data across technologies
  • What we are looking for

  • 2+ Years of development experience using IBM DataStage or any ETL application
  • 3+ Years of professional experience in information technology
  • 2+ Years of application production support experience involving installing, supporting and using information technology in a large, regulated financial services environment
  • 2+ Years of development experience in at least 1 programming languages
  • Proven work experience as hands-on analyst in infrastructure, database or business.
  • Technical competency of database models, database design and SQL development
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Experience with researching issues in a timely, efficient manner
  • Must be a team player
  • Willing to work mid-shift or night shift
