Job Description - Business Analyst 3 Operations Business Intelligence (190008A8)

As part of the NetSuite GBU Customer Success Business Planning team, the Business Analyst 3 Operations Business Intelligence will design and develop metrics, reports and analyses to drive key business decisions for the different verticals within NetSuite’s Customer Success (CS) team.

This individual contributor will provide a link between NSGBU data (stored in NetSuite, OpenAir and / or Oracle systems) and the management decision-

making process. Data extraction, analysis and data transformation are key job responsibilities. Some of the reports will include (but are not limited to) headcount, targets, actual hours’ attainment, forecasting, credits, and backlog data.

He / She will provide real time as well as scheduled reports to ensure the practice has the proper data to execute on decisions accurately and efficiently.

He / she must have strong working experience using different business reporting skills preferably using NetSuite / OpenAir analytics tools combined with Excel advanced functions.

This individual will potentially receive requests from any member of the CS management team, so he / she must have strong task prioritization skills in addition to business reporting and critical thinking skills.

This role requires attention to detail and consistent follow-through to ensure that information and business requirements from internal and external stakeholders are accurately captured.

Strong written and verbal communication, as well as relationship management skills, are also strongly desired.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Work closely with the leadership team within the CS organization to provide reports focused on financial, and resource management information to aid management in revenue and budget goals for their practice.
  • Design and develop reports to showcase achievements of KPIs and data trends that highlight opportunities and risks to the business
  • Design, develop and deliver training program to enable other members in the team
  • Reconcile multiple data sources and enhance the Reporting team’s ability to deliver timely and accurate information
  • Publish, analyze, and maintain metrics / queries for reporting beyond what the team can pull themselves out of NetSuite
  • Set up and develop saved searches and reports to meet different reporting requirements
  • Participate in (and occasionally lead) vertical and cross functional team meetings to gain further insight into info information needed by stakeholders to optimize reporting function and contribute to process automation projects
  • Deliver standard and ad hoc reports
  • Partner with key stakeholders in Customer Success, Sales Operations, Finance and other teams to achieve goals
  • Minimum Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Management Information Systems or related fields
  • 3+ years of total work experience required
  • 2+ years of related experience supporting global Professional Services / Customer Success organizations is an advantage
  • Strong Microsoft Excel Skills including experience with pivot tables & Vlookups, analyzing and formatting data, use of filters, managing workbooks, creating charts & graphs
  • Fluent in MS Powerpoint
  • Strong working experience in NetSuite SuiteAnalytics (particularly custom searches with some basic SQL) is an advantage
  • Experience in designing and delivering training materials is an advantage
  • Willing to work flexible hours to support global operations
  • Some working knowledge and experience on Accounting processes and reporting such as Billing / Invoicing, Revenue Recognition, Collections, Purchase Order Processing
  • Experience working directly with companies or customers based in NA, UK and / or Australia
  • Excellent communication (verbal, written, and presentation) and interpersonal skills
  • Must be a self-starter, detail oriented, w / strong communication and organization skills.
  • Provides programs to improve operational efficiency, consistency, and compliance in support of the organization*s financial and tactical business objectives.

    Provides business practices and processes. Develops, communicates, and trains the organization on business practices and processes.

    Serve as a liaison with other divisions such as Finance, Contracts, HR, Legal, Shared Services, Accounts Receivable, Purchasing, and Risk Management in an effort to ensure accurate and timely transaction processing.

    Collect, input, verify, correct, and analyze data to measure key performance indicator actual versus business objectives.

    Provide updates to management regarding budget to actual, informing them of deviations and opportunities. Provide management with economic impact and compliance issues surrounding key business decisions and / or deals.

    Communicate Oracle Business Practices to the organization and monitor process and approvals for full compliance. Drive implementation of new processes and procedures.

    Job duties are varied and complex utilizing independent judgment. May have project lead role. Attention to detail critical.

    Ability to collect, organize, and display data in spreadsheet format. Follow-through skills necessary to get information from internal and third parties and have data errors / omissions corrected.

    For this, relationship management skills strongly desired. Strong written and verbal communication skills to interact with management and possible clients desired.

    5 plus years relevant work experience.
