Develops, implements and maintains methods, operation sequence, and processes in the manufacture or fabrication of parts, components, sub-assemblies, and final assemblies.

Interfaces with design engineering in coordinating the release of new products. Estimates manufacturing cost determines time standards and makes recommendations for tooling and process requirements of new or existing product lines.

Maintains records and reporting systems for coordination of manufacturing operations. Develops new or modified process formulations, defines processing or handling equipment requirements and specifications, and reviews processing techniques and methods applied in the manufacture, fabrication, and evaluation of products.

Involvement may begin at any step from laboratory-scale to pilot plant to full-scale manufacturing. Coordinates design requirement review with appropriate engineering / scientific personnel to ensure compatibility of processing methods.

Compiles and evaluates test data to determine appropriate limits and variables for process or material specifications. May conceive and plan projects involving the definition and selection of new concepts, equipment automation technology, and approaches in the processing or development of new or improved processes.

Leads problem-solving in-process and quality-related issues.

  • Minimum Education and Experience :

  • B.S. degree in Engineering and 4+ years of related experience or M.S. Degree and 2+ years or Ph.D. and 0+ years
  • OR equivalent combination of education and years of related experience
