The opportunity

This role will be a key member of the APAC Financial Services sector (FSO) finance team working closely with the APAC Financial Services Finance Director to provide reporting and insights, as well as business partnering skills with Regional Executives.

A commercial finance / management accountant type of role, you must have the ability to prepare financial models and deliver best in class financial reporting and analysis.

Success in this role will be dependent on your ability to understand the business and key drivers across each APAC region and Service Line.

You should therefore possess excellent project management skills and be able to work independently or collaboratively as required.

In a nutshell, the success measures of the role will be 1) accurate and timely reporting / forecasting,

2) knowledge of the business, and 3) sound business partnering / strong relationships with business leaders

Your key responsibilities

  • FP&A involvement in annual Budget and Forecasting processes.
  • Reporting - Monthly performance dashboards reporting for respective business, adding insight, financial analysis and commentary.
  • Maintain a robust month end reporting process and ensure commentaries are timely, insightful and action oriented.

  • Business Partnering with non-finance stakeholders - Be the 'Go To' point of contact for financial and operational issues while supporting the Service Line, and Region Leaders.
  • Act as a trusted business adviser by developing effective working relationships with the extended Finance team.

  • Analysis - Analyze and present complex financial data in a way that is easily understood. Pro-actively suggest ways to solve problems and to display presentations.
  • Develop and support the delivery of presentations that engage audiences, responding to the questions that arise.

  • Ad-hoc requests - Answer specific ad hoc financial questions and provide insightful information to advance leadership discussion and decision making.
  • Support the design and delivery of ad hoc financial analysis. Ability to model projections, identify trends and issues that need to be analyzed and understood.

  • Insights to drive improved profitability - Provide support to Service Line run initiatives as well as Finance run initiatives such as Gross Margin improvement, Mercury / SAP implementation, Planning, budgeting and forecasting (PBFA) cycle.
  • Support the completion on time of the various Plan, Forecast, investment and revenue planning cycles, ensuring outputs align to the objectives set at the Region, Area and Global levels.

    Responsibilities, Qualifications, Certifications - External

    To qualify for the role, you must have

  • A minimum of 7 years of relevant experience.
  • Strong attention to detail to be able to pick-up any errors in monthly results
  • Advanced Excel skills - ability to manipulate and draw trends from large data.
  • A strong understanding of financial planning and analysis, and budgeting processes.
  • Strong time management and efficient to work through budget and month-end deadlines.
  • Motivated to challenge and improve reporting or other finance processes
  • Highly team-oriented approach, with flexibility regarding tasks undertaken and the ability to prioritize conflicting demands to meet deadlines.
  • Credibility and confidence to challenge and propose better ways of doing things as well as the ability to harmonize divergent interests and priorities.
  • Strong spoken and written English.
  • Ideally, you’ll also have

  • Graduate and / or professional certification in a business-related subject matter (i.e. Business, Accounting, Finance).
  • EY reporting tool skills (Power BI, FR, etc.) would be advantageous.
