Section 2 : Position Summary
The role of the Senior Principal Infrastructure is to align technology strategy and expenditure with business priorities and objectives.
This position is responsible for translating business strategy into a fit for purpose business and technology SAP architecture that ensures stable, reliable, resilient and efficient service delivery that meet customer needs and enables innovation.
The candidate will work primarily on strategic direction and advisory with mastery of business and technology to design SAP solutions consistent with computing platform standards and IT development.
The role requires technical leadership on SAP Basis configuration, installation, performance tuning, release upgrades, security functions, corrections and transports, monitoring and client implementation.
It requires industry expertise of distributed computing technologies to configure and integrate SAP systems, which include new SAP dimensional products such as ECC 6.
0, BI, Enterprise Portal, CRM, SCM, Livecache, MDG, SLT, TDMS, GTS, TREX, Solution Manager, GRC, Java stacks, LVM, HANA and other SAP applications to meet expanding business requirements.
SAP Bolt-on includes SAP Console, OpenText, Ancile uPerform, Winshuttle, and Paymetric. The candidate should possess SAP Basis Technical mastery and will influence the growth and technical direction of SAP Basis group.

Major Responsibility : Transformation, Transition, Implementation of Strategic Architecture
Supporting Actions :
Guide the System transformation from an SAP Basis architecture standpoint, ensure transformation consistency across the functional areas and over time, and provide alignment with overarching Enterprise Architecture principles, platforms, and patterns
Put in place best-in-class architecture processes for designing large scale and sophisticated technology systems including the use of : service-oriented-architectures;
data-centric design; cloud technologies and containers; advanced analytics; AI; Industrial IoT, networking infrastructure;
mobile technologies; etc.
Understand business and Ensure alignment with corporate information standards and policies, as well as all areas of enterprise architecture
Develop, deliver, maintain, communicate, and govern enterprise architecture strategy, standards, guidelines, diagrams, and models
Identify and resolve gaps between business requirements and enterprise architecture
Establish significant SAP footprint. Migrate SAP to S4 / HANA and transform the underlying businesses for value-add and increased efficiency.
Integrates research and emerging technologies into company product platforms.
Administer Design, Build, Test and Pre-Production Transition of Technical Deployment
Ensure successful implementation of Strategic SAP and Infrastructure related Advancements and Initiatives
Provide Technical Leadership and Expertise on SAP HANA technology. Mapping the relationships between IT platform / infrastructure components
End Results : Timeliness & Quality of Technical Design and Deployments. Concrete execution and implementation that are aligned with Country Partner internal service level agreement.

Major Responsibility : SAP Basis Performance Tuning and Optimization
Supporting Actions :
Implements, evaluates, and designs SAP ERP systems and applications and Ensures optimal performance of SAP Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.
Identifies opportunities for SAP infrastructure improvement, prepares budgets, maintain patching with regular reports, asset management (pro-actively) to ensure an optimized running infrastructure to provide high performance and high uptime.
Regularly assess and layout a highly functional SAP Systems and Application. Provide technical and architectural solutions to the underlying issues listed in SAP Production System Reports;
Early Watch Alert, System Alerts, CCMS, etc.,
Stay current on major disruptive technology (such as SAP Hot News) and non-technology trends that affect the Business
Design and Rehearse SAP Disaster Recovery for System Readiness
Review SAP Production Data Volume Management Report and recommend approach for proper Capacity Management of our SAP Production Systems
Apply broad perspective and innovative solutions to variety of complex issues and to overcome any expected challenges of SAP Applications.
Mitigate Potential Issues and provides solutions to a variety of advanced complex SAP technical issues requiring industry expertise

Supporting Actions :
Leads technical calls with a focus on expediting problem resolution of critical incidents. Engage other team members and demonstrate the best practice approach of troubleshooting issues and handling bridge call.
Assist, mentor, and cross check the work of peers as part of the learning method.
Provide practical advice and leading practices to overcome any expected challenges and alignment to over-all Global Architectural and Strategic Projects and Standards.
Create procedural documents on each new learning, issue resolution and product relevance that should be within scope of the group and perform formal cascade across all country team members.
Recognize technical gaps / knowledge that our organization need to acquire and propose to Global Management for group development plan.
Collaborates with global management on annual goals, objectives, performance review oversight, discipline, promoting, and training of team.
Upskill the technical capability of the Global SAP Basis Team members. Technical teams receive clear direction and clear understanding of the technology and its integration.

Builds a strong business and technology network across Global SAP CoE and Global Information Technology.
Handles senior executive visibility escalations (3rd level escalation point of contact)

SAP Basis is the underlying technology for our SAP ERP. SAP is our primary ERP in terms of orders shipped with over 36.
7m order processed in 2020 supporting over $10 billion in revenue.
Most senior technical resource in our 20 person Manila based SAP Basis Team providing expert level oversight and guidance
Collaborates and provides infrastructure support and technical guidance for over 300 Global SAP CoE and GIO Team located worldwide
Ensures that requests, incidents, RFCs, and problem tickets are handled with urgency and completed in compliance with published SLAs.
Provides resource and delivery manager support for large strategic projects, many in the $1m + category with major strategic and revenue implications
Section 6 : Job Qualifications and Educational Requirement

Technical Competencies :
A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Science and Math or related technical discipline is required. A master’s degree in Technology, Business or Management is preferred.
Expertise in with MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
At least 10 years of continuous relevant technical experience in SAP Basis Administration, with at least 5+ years SAP architecture, including SAP NetWeaver platform
Certification in ITIL is preferred
Certification in SAP, SAP HANA and / or Cloud is required
Thorough knowledge of SAP system installations and administration, as well as good understanding of the SAP architecture and multiple application modules including SAP NetWeaver platform knowledge.
Experience with S / 4 HANA implementation, migration and support. Should be able to independently architect, provide requirements and work with infrastructure team to build new HANA systems.
Experience with HANA backup and restore, HA and DR setup, System Copy / Refresh and patching.
Knowledge of Unix / Linux required for SAP implementation and support.
Design, development, implementation, and maintenance experience with large-scale systems, preferably across multiple hardware and software platforms.
Strong understanding of high availability concepts with practical experience and implementation of key components (databases, application servers, fault tolerant systems, cluster server / software, etc.).
Understanding of Operational challenges and dependencies as they relate to infrastructure decisions.
Ability to integrate multiple technology disciplines to drive projects and provide SME insight
