The Market Segment Manager in GDS will be primarily responsible for strategic and tactical deployment support for go-to-market initiatives within a market segment (Industry sector or geography) as well as maintaining operational excellence and efficiencies.

Essential Functions of the Job :

  • Accountable for E2E delivery of operational and governance activities
  • First point of contact for data specific queries relating to revenue, pipeline, sales, margin, NBD
  • Oversight of account data integrity and reporting accuracy
  • Development and distribution of MI packs, including ownership of distribution and community engagement (SharePoint / Teams channels / Yammer)
  • Support strategic planning process
  • Maintain rigor across operational / drumbeat activities
  • Project manage the implementation of firm-wide Markets initiatives and monitor performance against KPIs
  • Project manage and complete annual business planning processes (GIP, acct revenue planning, NBD, budgets, event management resources)
  • Management of MS Account Revenue planning process
  • Management, planning and performance tracking of MS CX program
  • Support activity around market enablement including oversight of Client Experience Programme, networking at events, social media presence, EOY
  • Deep knowledge of firm’s reporting systems and platforms
  • Knowledge of MS and prioritised solutions
  • Leverage assets to increase social media profile and external awareness of EY solutions
  • PMO MS leadership meetings, including minutes and follow-up of actions
  • Knowledge and Skills Requirements

  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills and the ability to create / gather / analyse data
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • A robust and resilient disposition able to remain calm under pressure
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Proactive and curious mindset, that seeks continuous areas for improvement
  • Ability to be agile and adapt quickly in an ever-changing environment
  • Strong project management and organisation skills with proven ability to prioritise and manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously
  • Knowledge of the Firm’s reporting systems, solutions, and service offerings
  • Team player, willing to get involved in all aspects of projects
  • Strong competencies across, data analysis, business research, writing and presenting
  • Strong PowerPoint and Excel capability
  • Excellent decision making / problem-solving skills
  • Other Requirements

    There may be travel to the client and other EY offices. Depending on the global nature of client, overseas travel may be required.

  • A Master’s degree or bachelor's degree with relevant experience
  • Experience

  • 10+ years of Professional Services experience preferred but not essential
  • Proven sound judgment and flexibility in balancing multiple project requirements, tight deadlines, and keeping people and projects moving on schedule, with high attention to detail
  • Proven ability to work and interact and influence a broad range of stakeholders
  • Ability to build relationships and exhibit drive and determination to succeed
  • Able to demonstrate initiative and proactive thinking
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively
  • Business acumen and an understanding of major industry sector trends preferred
