Position Summary : Create and approve quotations for domestic and global markets in timely manner to meet department objectives and all levels of quotes by considering profitability, market competition, potential volume, cost to manufacture, manufacturability, return on investment, and account payment history.

Major Responsibilities : Coordinates with Vendors, Engineering, Manufacturing and other functional departments to determine lead time, cost and other requirements necessary to complete quotes.

Conducts a periodic review and update of product prices in the business system based from the most current agreements. Investigates and implements new ways, and recommends new tools, to improve pricing efficiencies, comparisons and data usability.

Provide product and systems technical support to sales representatives, customers, and sales staff relative to standard, engineered to order and made to order parts.

Maintain quote and cost history for accurate quotes. Assists in handling of rush or special orders. Contacts operations personnel for acceptable premium lead times in relation to current work load.

Ensures that the customer is aware of, and has accepted appropriate premium charges. Communication : Actively participates in communications meeting to advise managers and sales of potential business and competition status.

Keeps supervisor and / or appropriate marketing manager informed of key problems and actions taken. Associated Duties : Performs a variety of associated duties such as maintenance of required records.

Generate and analyze specialized customer quotes reports to assist in sales. Assists marketing managers on special projects.

Specialized and technical knowledge : Understanding of customer service / marketing / sales, ability to interpret mechanical blueprints / technical specifications, strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Outlook and office suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access.

Support customer care specialists / pricing analyst with activity for annual price increases. OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES : Participate in sales-driven projects and team initiatives.

Provide value-added services to customers and sales team. Performs initiatives on team needs to help improve oneself and the team.

Training Involvement : Trains staff on the use of pricing tools and appropriate cost expectations. Assists in side by side systems and process training to new hires, peers and other internal personnel.

Assists in mock call exercises for new hires; provides feedback and recommendations. Other tasks as assigned by supervisor / POC.


Required Education / Experience / Skills :

  • Completion of Regal PTS Course of Study.
  • At least 3yrs tenure in PTS Operations.
  • Experience in Customer Service and Pricing for at least 2 years is preferred.
  • Experience in delivering training either on systems, process & procedures or products.
  • Positive Customer-oriented attitude.
  • Effective communications skills.
  • Ability to access, interpret and use all computer service programs including Oracle, and other databases.
  • Advance usage of ORACLE CRM, eLink, EDGE and AS400.
  • Ability to write and analyze reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals.
  • Must display and demonstrate the following : initiative-motivation, leadership qualities, strong problem solving and trouble shooting skills.
  • Detailed knowledge of all forms, documents, policies and procedures relating to customer orders and order processing.
  • Strong communication, people and organizational skills are required.
  • Willingness to travel when needed.
  • Ensures the attainment of client Service Level Agreements
  • Ability to handle varying workloads and schedules
