Bill of Materials Engineer 1
By joining us as a Bill of Materials Engineer you will be a part of a dynamic and collaborative team committed to provide primary engineering and analytics support to the Air Conditioning business unit thru data management, report generation and data analytics.
In this capacity, you will have the opportunity to create and maintain accurate multi-level Bill of Materials (BOM) and Item Master records for Finished Goods to support order management, manufacturing, material requirements and cost.

IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL :
Coordinate information from Engineering, Design, Change Control, Regulatory Agencies and Product Planning. (Cross functional areas including IT, Cost, Order Management).
Construct Bill of Materials (BOM) and nameplate information provided from cross functional areas.
Understand operating systems (Oracle) and how to apply Engineering Change Notices (ECN) and request (with impact to cross functional groups included but not limited to cost, production orders and inventory of all components).
Actively engages in cross functional communication to ensure accuracy and timely creations and maintenance of BOMs and product information.
Evaluates all requests to update BOMs and Nameplates for compliance to customers' requirements and operating systems standards.
Ensure Finished Goods is in compliance with Product Planning goals and plant product availability.
Participates in all BOM related support for Design and Engineering.
FOR THIS ROLE YOU WILL NEED :
Bachelor’s Degree graduate of any Engineering or Engineering Technology course
At least one (2) years’ experience in doing Bill of Materials and Item Master related work
At least two (2) years’ experience gained from supply chain, engineering and manufacturing related business, plant operations
Knowledge in Oracle is a plus
Background in offshore service operations is an added advantage
Ability to assume cross-trained function in the event of low utilization
Ability to assume back up functions in the event of skills and capacity constraints
Ability to build long lasting relationships with internal & external customers, and work within a team setting
Excellent written and spoken English communication skills
Knowledge on computer applications such MS Excel (Intermediate) and other Business Systems and Tools
Must be able to effectively and independently function while maintaining a positive energy level in an environment of constantly shifting demands.
