Job Summary :

The primary role of the BMC function in GDS Philippines is the internal support to all SL and SF in matters such as internal communications, external communications, press, events, employee engagement

Essential Functions of the Job :

  • Develop the local BMC strategy and plan in alignment with GDS BMC; develop and deliver communications strategies, key messages and detailed plans
  • Work closely with the GDS Locations BMC lead, co-ordinate and project manage the delivery of GDS-wide internal communications and campaigns in the location
  • Lead center-specific campaigns as required by the Center Leader
  • Develop leadership messaging and provide communications support to the Center Leader
  • Provide BMC support to the SL / SF leaders as defined within the scope of work
  • Provide support for GDS BMC team initiatives and communications
  • Be up-to-date with global BMC branding guidelines in order to deliver brand-compliant designs, not only visual but also written
  • Coordinate projects which build employee engagement
  • Provide strategic guidelines for effective social media marketing, advising how to use social media to boost employer brand
  • Keep distribution lists up-to-date and tend to any request of new list creation or new authorizations Requirements :
  • Strong experience in branding, marketing, and developing branding and marketing strategies for targeted audiences
  • Be able to quickly understand key programs, recognizing communication priorities and then being able to deliver on them to a high standard
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Understand GDS priorities and make connections across the locations to assist in their delivery and be able to advise on the most effective communication methods
  • Successfully manage cross-border, cross-culture and virtual relationships with team members, account teams
  • Strong stakeholder management experience to ensure that they are kept informed and advocate the communications plan
  • Ensure that communications are timely and high-quality
  • Graphic design experience highly preferred Knowledge, competency and skill requirements :
  • Demonstrate the ability to manage multiple projects at one time
  • Have a proven capability to understand the business agenda and proactively translate this into high-quality communications that are appropriate, relevant and engaging to the audience
  • Demonstrate excellent project management skills
  • Execute quality deliverables across multiple media, including print, intranet, events and presentations
  • Show the determination to support activities through to successful execution
  • Successfully manage cross-border relationships with team members, account teams and suppliers
  • Demonstrate the ability to manage changing project priorities and arrangements in tight timelines
  • Be a self-starter who is able to work successfully in a virtual environment
  • Work virtually, in a large global organization, across time zones and with different cross-functional teams
  • Fluency in English and the local language Education :
  • Graduate degree (or equivalent area of study or experience); professional qualification or equivalent experience in Marketing Communications, PR, Internal Communications or Corporate Communications desirable
