We are seeking a technology thought leader to fill an important opening as a Software Sales Account Manager - Data Protection for the Asia Pacific &
Japan (APJ) region. This job role will be working with the regional sales leaders to support their direct and indirect sales efforts and advance the technology leadership of our data protection business in order to meet customer demands.
This job role is focused on executing on specific sales strategies to meet sales and organizational objectives.
This Software Sales Account Manager will have architecture and engineering level knowledge of the data protection solutions and will act as an industry thought leader, teach and learn from the field sales team while providing a seamless and secure experience to customers.
The role is expected to collaborate with the customer, research, evaluate, and customize software-based solutions using the Quest data protection product line, and work to simplify the way Quest customers solve problems and maximize investments.
The Software Sales Account Manager will be responsible for analyzing market trends and developing go to market strategies with each of our regional leaders for their specific markets.
The Software Sales Account Manager will also manage the forecasting and pipeline development activities in conjunction with the regional sales leaders.
Main Responsibilities :
Responsible for playing a technology leadership role for data protection solutions based on Quest technology.
Engage customers to establish the strategic direction, provide guidance for detailed data protection solutions, and develop complex and strategic customer proposals.
Leading the industry in complex / emerging data protection technologies, theories, and techniques.
Ability to develop strong customer relationships
Actively educates & engages with others (Account Managers, Sales Engineers, Product Managers, Solution Architects, etc.
on business solutions, deal requirements & challenges to facilitate effective RFP / RFI responses, successful closes and customer satisfaction.
Presents the architecture as a compelling value proposition to customers for competitive advantage in the pursuit.
The ideal candidate will have the necessary interpersonal skills and demonstrated capabilities to identify new business opportunities and generally lead pursuit initiatives for enterprise-wide related engagements.
Developing business cases, presentations, resource models, and proposals.
Responsible for effectively organizing cross-functional teamsâ engagement to drive results
Required Qualification and Skills :
Architecting innovative IT data solutions that span and integrate the full scope of data protection services and offerings.
Performing assessments / gap analyses of customer data protection architecture domains.
Experience in evaluating opportunities, leading efforts of responding to RFP(s) and developing solutions for customers
Understands the data protection solution portfolio and identifies repeatable business opportunities while ensuring appropriate import / export of intellectual property.
Negotiate with and influence customers' senior leadership.
Hands-on experience working on data protection solutions.
Proven track record in working in a cross-functional / matrix of high performing teams
Excellent presentation, communication, planning, negotiation, and problem-solving skills. Proven ability in communicating in English effectively, verbally and in writing.
7+ years in the IT data protection field
5+ years of senior-level consulting experience, including direct involvement with executive-level issues and complex IT / security business transformation problem solving, where business outcomes are dependent on precise deployment.
Strong ability in establishing credibility and trust
Proven ability to work cross-functionally in a highly matrixed organization structure.
High level of Integrity and strong work ethics
Bachelor or Post-Graduate Degree in Computer Science or related Engineering field of study required.
Masterâs Degree in business management / engineering or related field of study is an advantage
