Purpose

  • Providing IT Support Services to all end users in the centralized business systems, as part of the Emerson Automation Solutions IT-PMO group
  • Handling quality assurance and test environment problems and issues
  • Creation, preparation, and conducting of quality assurance reviews and the development and execution of test plans and test scripts
  • Collaborates in the development, application, and revision of quality standards for new software applications / packages
  • Designs and implements methods and procedures for inspecting, testing, and evaluating the precision and accuracy of the already applied software applications / packages
  • Responsibilities Duty 1 : Project Support and Quality Management

  • Performs functionality, usability, and regression testing of multiple systems (web apps, web services, APIs)
  • Analyzes use cases and business rules to develop test cases and scripts
  • Reports critical issues and works with the Senior Systems QA Analyst / Systems QA Lead and Development Team to resolve issues
  • Performs daily QA activities (bug tracking and follow up, executing software test cases, etc.)
  • Updates QA documents / tools with testing results
  • Coordinates CX Cloud system QA issues with 3rd party vendors (ex. My Oracle Support and Oracle Community Connect / IdeaLab)
  • Participates and attends Daily SAFe (Agile) meetings, PI Planning, Retrospective meetings, and Agile-related stand-up and huddles
  • Provides assistance to System Analysts, Configuration Analysts, and Developers to resolve issues and incidents (Jira CSR and CDR)
  • Duty 2 : System Documentation

  • Creates CX Cloud application’s technical and system documentations (Work Instructions, Knowledge Transfer slides, and References)
  • Cascades and provides knowledge transfers of the created system documentations (WI, KT, REF)
  • Reviews and updates the system documentations to ensure its still valid and applicable to use
  • Duty 3 : Continuous Improvement and Innovation

  • Identifies continuous improvement and innovative project ideas
  • Gathers, analyzes, implements, and documents the continuous improvement and innovation projects
  • Education

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent (Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or similar)
  • Job Related Experience

  • At-least 1.5 years of experience in Web Quality Assurance field (frontend / backend testing, test case analysis and development, execution, and maintenance)
  • Specific Knowledge

  • Knowledge in different types of Software Testing (functional, non-functional)
  • Knowledge of a test management tool and / or issue tracking tool is desired
  • Basic knowledge of Agile methodology
  • Basic knowledge of Waterfall methodology
  • ISTQB Foundation (International Software Testing Qualifications Board) certified is a plus
