We are looking for a motivated post-doc for a highly translational research project funded by the National Cancer Institute (NCI).

The research project focuses on sphingolipid based therapeutics in acute myeloid leukemia (AML). Specifically, research involves the identification and validation of therapeutic targets, preclinical development of novel drug therapies for the treatment of leukemia.

A strong background in pharmacology and molecular biology or related field is required. Candidates must have expertise in vivo work, AML mouse models, whole-animal imaging, tissue culture and Flow cytometry, and good publication record in peer-reviewed scientific journals.

Experience in small animal handling, drug administration via different routes (oral gavage, IP, IV, etc.). Must have excellent communication and organizational skills and attention to detail, be capable of conceptualizing, designing experiments, and conducting studies independently as well as cooperatively with other lab members as a team and have the capability to write manuscripts and grants for quality publications.
