The Master Data Manager is the process owner and responsible to effectively manage and deliver shared data assets across Arcadis companies Globally.

The position is responsible for leading the design and strategy through implementation and support of the data management policies and best practices across Arcadis.

  • Establishing common business processes to drive data consistency; working with Arcadis Way team and IT in setting the policies and procedures to measure and improve data quality;
  • designing and managing a data governance program that is aligned with countries and corporate initiatives.

  • Identify strategic opportunities to improve data quality in critical processes and management practices while leveraging global business resources and Information Technology resources.
  • Collaboration with business owners to define data quality requirements and metrics; and ensure there are processes and business rules in place to achieve them.
  • Influencing global commercial best practices and tools for the data whichsupports our customers vendors and business as a whole
  • Responsibilities

    Responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to :

    Works with the business to understand and document data processes and how these processes affect data to further facilitate resolution for technical issues and problems.

    Integrates company strategies; goals and objectives into data management activities.

    Leverages process owners and subject matter experts as appropriate to optimize results.

    Establishes and communicates metrics to appropriate stakeholders in the region and drives the ongoing improvement of the process.

    Collaborates with Arcadis Way team and IT in prioritization of data warehouse and master data management projects.

    Sets direction and communicates data management strategy, objectives, and progress to management and across the organization

    Creates, documents and implements internal controls in data management ensuring data integrity at all times.

    Demonstrates sound business sense and ability to see the big picture . And Assess the flow of data between system components.

    Determines the business intelligence solutions such as dashboards etc. required to support data mining, analytics, and reporting needs.

    Ensures the necessary project documentation and standards required for compliance and identified best practices are developed.


    Qualifications, skills & experience

    The candidate should have the vast experience in managing a diverse regional or global scope of Master Data Management operations, a captive shared services or business process outsourcing operations environment.

    The candidate should possess and demonstrate effective organizational facilitation, people management skills and key competencies outlined below :

  • Broad experience with data requirements, data modeling concepts, data integration, master data management, metadata management, enterprise data warehousing (EDW) and business intelligence / analytics, tools, protocols and practices.
  • Strong knowledge of systems development and project management methodologies / processes.
  • Equipped with vendor and customer identification and address standardization processes and tools.
  • Understanding of big data concepts, tools, utilities, protocols, and practices
  • Knowledgeable with Global Data Privacy laws and regulations applicable to Master Data.
  • Bachelor's / College Degree, Major in Accountancy, Business course or IT, CPA / MBA is an advantage;
  • At least 15 years of total experience and with minimum of 5 years managerial experience for the same capacity.
  • Proficient with to various ERP Systems is required; (e.g. Oracle and SAP)
  • Advanced experience in Microsoft applications (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Word) is highly required;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English Language including ability to interact effectively with all levels throughout Company organization;
  • Excellent problem-solving, presentation and decision-making skills.
  • Proven strategic planning experience at management level;
  • Strong cultural awareness and adept at working cross-functionally and across Areas and country leadership with a broad range of stakeholders.
