The Position

As part of the system engineering team, you’ll be in charge of implementing, maintaining and consolidating our global server infrastructure hosted in multiple datacenters worldwide acting directly on the business production side.

You’ll be handling day to day operations as well as working on challenging projects aimed toward the constant improvement and evolution of our technical environment.

The infrastructure itself represents a motivating challenge : Open source platforms (85%) and proprietary platforms (15%) spread across more than 1000 servers in 18 data centers worldwide.

The system infrastructure consists of multiple server platforms, SAN and NAS storage supporting upward of 20 different financial specific products.

Your main mission will be :

  • ensuring the daily administration of all systems infrastructure
  • defining, implementing and maintaining OS and monitoring tools
  • analyzing and resolving daily system related incidents
  • coordinating the deployment of new hardware to meet client expectations
  • creating and continually developing system related policies, procedures and controls
  • Ensuring adherence to Information Security guidelines
  • Continually working to improve the quality and uptime of the environments
  • The technology integral to our operating environments include :

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux, CentOS, Microsoft Windows is a plus
  • Clustering (RedHat Cluster), Virtual IP management
  • Postfix, Apache, Tomcat, OpenLDAP / Active Directory / MySQL / MariaDB
  • Dell / HP / Cisco UCS
  • Shell, Perl, Python
  • VMWare, Ovirt, RedHat KVM
  • Automation tools and configuration management (Puppet / Ansible / Git)
  • Nagios, Collectd, Munin, CheckMK
  • EMC, Hitachi SAN Storage
  • Cisco SAN switches
  • In Depth knowledge of ITRS administration is a plus

  • University degree (bachelor / license) or equivalent technical school certification
  • 5 years experience as a system engineer
  • Well documented history of administering Linux based systems on Dell, HP blades and or Cisco UCS hardware
  • Motivated, hard working and exceptional attention to detail
  • Ability to work under extreme pressure
  • Good understanding of the risks and potential impact of working on a 24 / 7 live environment
  • Advanced English level is required to work within our international team.
